A team that moved from charlotte to New Orleans not too long ago. They're a totally different team and currently tied for the best record out West. Unbelievable!!

One person you have to be happy for is Byron Scott who was treated unfairly in NJ and got the boot.

Now NJ is struggling and he got his current team to play great basketball.

Why can't the knicks follow their methods?? I guess one owner has the passion for b-ball while the other doesn't even give a damn.

They drafted a point guard who knows how to play the game the right way...Paul is a throw back to the days of Magic, Stockton and Isiah...He is a leader, a player and an all around good guy who loves to play the game...Around him you can build a team...

Bingo! and they have a coach that actually plays the players by merit and not by paycheck.

Well, that's the whole point. New Orleans found complementary players who fit into a system and brought in positive attitudes. It's very different from the Knicks strategy of tossing "the most athletic"(tm) ingredients in a mixing pot and hoping your recipe doesn't come out to be mush.

If you, hypothetically, put Chris Paul on the Knicks, instead of Marbury, the Knicks are still probably a below .500 team, because the construction of the team is actually contrary to Paul's talents, just as the makeup of the Knicks team has been contrary to Marbury's talents, or the rest of the team's skillsets, for that matter.

besides what Paul brings...

D West works extremely hard at his craft, is unselfish, and is very clutch.

Peja is healthy

they got Chandler to care after getting the huge payday

their vets know how to play

got rid of the talented headcase who didn't buy in
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

So if somehow the knicks ends up with the 2nd pick of the 1st round in this yrs draft and select Derrick Rose to be their pg of the future, would they be headed towards the same direction as New Orleans??

On NBATV, New Orleans is killing San ANtonio. David West is unstoppable!32 pts and 8 rebounds already with 5.12 left in the 4th quarter

You need to substarct Isiah Tomas first.
Than we will have SOME direction.

Holfresh remember when I spoke so highly of Paul last year and told me he wasn't even close to being one of the top PGs in the NBA?

Without the Lottery Pick NOH don't have Paul so it starts there. Then add Paul is actually a franchise talent. Lastly as Solace pointed out look at our whole roster it's an absolute Misfits of Bust.

They have a bona fide star. That is the building block that usually creates good teams in the NBA.

A) Get a real star.
B) Build around that star.
C) Hope that the other team's star isn't better than you star, or that the other team doesn't have more stars.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

the coach having the full support of the owner and GM helps as well.

Baron traded for nothing long b4 they knew they'd get Paul

JR Smith traded for nothing

They traded Baron to clear the money to make the moves.

Byron Scott is getting no praise, and I think the NBA should give him more (media-announcers TNT) PRAISE for what he has done in N.O.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
