We have the rights to a dynamic scoring PG who may play here after next season. We the rights to an 18-year-old, 7-foot SF/PF who can score and may play here after next season. We got the tallest player in the draft with Vranes, who will hopefully be in game shape in two seasons.
We also got a Ben Wallace type guy (short for a F/C, but with long arms) who should be able to contribute next season off the bench with rebounding and paint play.
Our future looks brighter. Now, what about the next season? Sweetney will help, but we still have the following keeping us out of the playoffs:
- Undersized SF who scores well but is getting killed by bigger players at the other end of the floor. Backup is either a swing SG or a chunky SF who plays more like a PF. Need a SF who plays killer D.
- Undersized starting C who belongs at the 4 or on another team. Need a starting C or F/C. Even if McD plays, KT is not enough at the 5.
Spree and KT. We need to upgrade. If we dump Ward next week, we'll also need a PG as insurance should Eisley or Frank get hurt.
With Sweetney on the roster, KT or Othella can be moved to upgrade the C or SF position. Whichever guy is left can man the 4 with Sweetney coming off the bench.
What 2 players can we get using Spree, Ward, KT or Othella, and the MLE as bait?
