New York Post -
MSG yesterday banned all media from the Expo Center in the bowels of the arena after Monday's verbal and physical confrontation between three Knicks' beat writers and Garden security as a fan was being ejected, the New York Post is reporting.

A Garden spokesman said a new policy will also be in place in which reporters are not permitted to speak with fans who are in the process of being ejected by security.

According to The Post, the Expo Center, also known as the rotunda, lies under the stands on the celebrity-row side of the arena, directly opposite the locker rooms. Reporters were previously permitted in that area to interview celebrities during intermission.

That's the best part.

ROTTEN TO THE VERY CORE!

If fans would stop ponying up money to see this DISGRACE then maybe Dolan would get the picture.

I would guess that the # of actual 'FANS' at the game is at record lows. There are so many picture-taking tourists from Europe taking advantage of the weak American Dollar so they come to NYC to spend their money and what the heck, take in a Basketball game.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I don't know about tourists but you can tell just from the tone of the crowd and how it reacts to certain on-court situations - A LOT OF DIEHARDS ARE NOT THERE!!!

There was the one game where it sounded like a bunch of soccer moms and their daughters there. From when the players were being announced through the first few plays all I heard were high pitched female voices doing RAH RAH RAH GO CURRY YOU CAN DO IT type crap from the crowd.

All it means is the die hards dont care to take in a game until there are changes made and in the meantime instead of giving up their ticket subscriptions they're giving the tickets away or selling them cheap. For one day we'll be good again and anyone with good seats doesn't want to give up their right to those particular seats just because the team stinks right now.

So, it's almost like..... scab fans. Just like when the NFL went on strike you had scab players (who, I might say, played harder than I've ever seen players play but that's besides the point).

Attendance is down but they're still packing it, enough. The Garden still sees 13-14,000(actual fans who show) on average. The tickets sold are somewhere closer to 18-19,000 on average. I'm talking produce New Orleans Hornets-Seattle Supersonics attendance totals like 9,000 fans regular attendance and maybe 10-11,00 actual tickets sold.

I can't see why people would even want to go to a Knicks game anymore. I don't even have a desire to watch them on tv anymore. They completely sucked the joy out of me, and I can't stand watching the Knicks and hoping that someday it gets so bad that Dolan gets it in his head that either he needs to fire Isiah or sell the garden or both. Or that it gets so bad that SOMETHING needs to be done. It has become absolutely putrid.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Good news... sounds like the only fans showing p are the ones who never could get to a game, whether its from lack of connections or an unwillingness to spend a lot of money. These folks are probably taking advantage that people will give seats aways. Never thought I'd EVER EVER EVEREEVEREVREVRVERVEVREVR write about people giving away KNicks tickets... I mean, they aren't really worth anything but a miserable evening. I'd rather just not go.

It's amazing that an organization as media conscious as the NBA is, allows one of it's teams to treat the media this way. Especially in it's biggest market and in it's own backyard.

I thought the same thing- at some point stern has to step in and fine dolan - its one thing to put a crap product on the floor- the knicks made bets that went bad- but to treat the media like this is totally uncalled.

I worry that this continued hard line approach by dolan shows he is sticking by isiah, in spite of what others think, write and say.

He can't. Stern works for the owners, remember?

Only one who can do anything is Chuck Dolan, but he's got bigger fish to fry.
