I'm going with KG because he's the most versatile of the players and I think the best combo of offense and defense. And he's my favorite player in the league. (I guess I totally botched the spelling of Dirk's last name.)

I went with Duncan.. I think he's too reliable to not pick him. He is also the only one on that list to have won a title too

This year? Duncan.

If I could have anyone there for the next ten years? Howard.

If I could have not traded for McDyess? Camby and Amare together.

That's certainly a valid choice. It might just be that I personally like KG more than any other player. But I think Duncan too would have zero career championships if he'd had the teammates KG had.

Somewhat separate question: Who do you think is the MVP of the first half?

Where's the "once in a generation talent", Eddy Curry?

If Duncan had GArnett's teammates, he'd still win a ring. HE makes players around him better and he's clutch. Garnett is not a bonifide "go to guy"

If Duncan had Cassell and Sprewell, he would still win a championship..

I think we're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one then. You didn't answer my question at the bottom of my reply, though.

I think Duncan will always be better than them all. He could play face up and dribble the way KG does, and dunk the way Amare does.......its just Duncan knows how to play period. The guy is just the best bigman in the League. I think the dude will still be doing it deep into his twilight.

I went with Yao, because he barely scratched the surface of his talent.

I think he'll always be better than them all too. If you go through all of those names in the poll, Duncan is the only true winner on the list. While guys like Amare and KG play their hearts out and produce freakish numbers, it doesn't create a champship caliber formula in the end, ala Timmy D.

I agree it has to be Duncan untill he physically wears down. His presence elevates others moreso than any other non-PG player in the NBA.
