January 22, 2008 -- While three reporters waited to speak with Giants receiver Plaxico Burress in the Garden rotunda at halftime, they witnessed a fan being ejected from the building for apparently hurling an obscenity at Jared Jeffries.
The fan complained to security that he only shouted to "get Jeffries out of the game."

Security refused to let the reporters talk to the fan as he was being escorted out of the building and restrained two of them, ripping the press credential off this reporter. The fan shouted out his phone number to the reporters. On the phone, the fan identified himself as Ozzie Jones from Brooklyn and claimed he was thrown out for using the word "ass."

A Garden spokesman later claimed the fan had a ticket for Section 342 and had snuck down to Section 27 to shout the obscenity.

Fresh from making the Super Bowl, four Giants arrived in the second quarter to sit in celebrity row, Burress, R.W. McQuarters, Aaron Ross and Steve Smith, to watching New England's premier basketball team. The Giants received three standing ovations and fans chanted "Let's Go Giants."

"We're still a little tired," Burress said. "I'm still thawing out. We're trying to cherish it."

Said McQuarters, "It's only fitting for us to be here today to watch the game. We're try to show support. Hopefully they support us also."

After Isiah Thomas' pregame availability yesterday, he said he was disappointed nobody asked him about Martin Luther King . . . Asked if the Knicks were playoff-caliber, Thomas said, "I've always said, yes, and I still believe that." . . . Thomas said of the Giants, "Last year they were having trouble inside the locker room. They stayed together and persevered. Sports is particularly rough in this town. If you hold on to your wits, you can see your way through the storm."

With the victory, Boston's Doc Rivers clinched the right to coach the East team in the NBA All-Star Game on Feb. 17.

WTF does this man have to say about MLK? What ego planet does he exist that he can speak to this mans greatness after just a few months of being found guilty about sextual harassment and his own predudice bias being questioned?

Isiah, STFU! Im sure your proud of your ascention to a very public and prestigious position but there are dark shadows of decite and failure!

Isiah crossed the line so many times and never was held accountable in any way.
Why do you think he will get back to his senses?
It will be in best interest to him to be busted from his position to give him back the sense of reality.

It's amazing the kind of arrogance Isiah has to think that people are so interested in what he has to say about Martin Luther King that he finds it necessary to reprimand reporters for not asking him for his opinion.

Someone who has been found guilty of sexually harassing a black woman, had security escort one of the few black coaches in the NBA out of the arena as if he were a criminal and has agreed with racial comments made by others, probably isn't the type of person you want to ask about MLK.

Not as hurtful as what I feel when I open my mailbox every day and don't find an invite to a Bippity Get Together.

It's a pain that just doesn't go away.

I dont see what was so bad about what he said. They ask everybody about MLK on his birthday. Not outrageous to think that they would broach the subject of MLK to a black man who runs one of the biggest organizations in sports, albeit poorly. Shyt, this was MLK's dream: A black man receiving bulletproof status and seemingly unending job security in light of poor results and contradictory evidence.

I cant wait for Zeke to get canned if for no other reason than to avoid dissection and over analysis over each and every one of his comments.
