We would'nt have won those games a few weeks ago, when ne team had no identity, no cohesion, no chemistry.

Guys seem to have some fun again, as they did at some point last year.

Where are we headed ? I don't know, but I like what I see over what we saw since the season began.

I hate Marbury, I'd like IT to be fired, I'd love to see Dolan become a professionnal jazzman and quit messing with the Knicks.
These are facts.
Yet, I love the knicks above all, and watching them winning, or at least competing, make me feel happier in my everyday life.

For me I guess it's that, to be a knick fan.

Hey, they played well, they made the plays to win the game, you can't take it away from them.

Yet, you have to put things into perspective. They were all very opportunistic situations (sans the Nets game but we've owned them this year for a change).

It's not like we kicked the crap out of solid teams well rested you know.... so... unless this continues for another 10, 15 games? I really wouldn't put much stock into it.

Det - 4th in 5, on the road, on a back to back after an OT game and getting to NYC in the wee hours of the AM.
Wiz - Same, except, no OT, but beating the Celtics in a tough game.
Nets - As I said, LOL @ NETS
Wiz - Blew us the hell out at home and rested.
Heat - We're now the team on 4 in 5, but the heat are horrendous if you didnt know, and we snuck by.

You just HAVE to put it into perspective otherwise you're caught back into the same trap of "they got it together here we go!" the same trap of Larry's six consecutive - or the 4 wins in 5 in December of 06 after the Denver incident - or even this year when we won 3 of 4 not all that long ago.

Only to? Return to our place.......

So, again, in the words of FactorialBury - Until we win 8 of 10 or 12 of 15? We have NOT turned the corner.

The wins are nice, the seemingly inspired play is nice. Yet, a week is not a trend. A month, actually two months, is a trend. Until then? It's just a blip.

Nevertheless, you must appreciate their newly acquired team chemistry, the sincere effort on D and the selfless play...

Good question. If I had to take a stab at it, the team continues to play this way until the end of the season resulting in just enough wins to not make the playoffs or get a high lottery pick. As for Isiah I don't know what will happen to him. I think Marbury has likely played his last game as a Knick already. If I had to guess on Isiah I think he gets kept again, and makes only a more simplistic move this offseason such as only trading Zach or Curry for better fitting parts, as opposed to his usual nonsense trade.

After that the Knick, after a late season push, miss the playoffs again next season (but they get close) and Isiah is fired then. Of course these are all just complete guesses.

I wish I knew more but Dolan doesn't give any indication one way or another what his plans for Isiah is. Also I don't know if Isiah has learned his lesson from the Zach and Curry pairing, as well as the Marbury fallout, when it comes to making trades.

I appreciate that 13-27 >>>> 9-26

Team Chemistry? I dunno about that they still revert to their 1-1 selfish ways several times every game and thats why we got blown out in Wash, that's why in the other wins we had to come back to finish off a team or fight them to the end.

Sincere effort on D? What have you been watching? They're horrendous on D! Wizards shot 57% against us! Come'on - the only defense we have - is the other team screwing up - that's not defense - that's the other team screwing up lol.

Selfless play? For about half a game mixed in with a half of game of the same old 1-1 chuck fest.

They look a little better during an opportunistic stretch of games. I refuse to use a single week of play as a measure of where they are or where they might be heading.

Again, 6 consecutive wins under Larry = TURNED THE CORNER
4 out of 5 in Dec 2006 = TURNED THE CORNER

What happened? Exactly.... and that's why I refuse to get sucked into that way of thinking.

How about they play like this for a month? Or two months? Then, yeah, you could say they've changed.

Until then, no, it's just way too small of a sample size to get excited over.
