My favorite part:

"History shows, if you go back and evaluate drafts three or five years later, there are about 10 or 12 good players in every draft," said Spurs general manager R.C. Buford

We'll know how good this draft is about the time Houston's getting his final 20 mil.

To give you some perspective, check out the draft board from five years ago:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/basketball/nba/1998/draft/draftboard/

Knowing what you know now, would you pick Raef at 3 over Dirk at 9? Larry Hughes at 8 over Cuttino Mobley at 41? Hell, not one center on that board is franchise. Kandi is decent, but not a go-to guy. Notice that Doleac was picked over Keon?

It's hard to know who's going to bring it and who's going to suck, and the results are all up and down the list. Heck, Greg Buckner at 53, he gets minutes Bryce Drew (16) only wishes he got.
