You know I have to admit, I was really excited last year during draft time. This year I am not really that excited. It will be interesting to see what happens but it definitely is not like last year.

Oasis, I'm with you. There isn't that dynamic young explosive big man like last year with us choosing between Hilario (my fave), Wilcox, and Stoudemire. This years draft has more swing men and point guard depth. The fact that Josh Howard,Troy Bell,Luke Walton might be available with #30 is very exciting.

Cmon fellas hyped about Hilario and stoudemire? You didn't even have a clue if these guys could ball until they actually got run in league games. This yr I am more hyped , this yr we actually have more chances with young draft choices with (PROMISE)high 2nd RD picks than previous yrs.I for one am a diehard knick fans and will be looking with expectation at this yr's lottery draft picks.

of course Playa always has high expectations, always is optimistic.. and as we all know... well, we all know our illustrious track record... but this time, it'll be different.

... a small part of me has a little bit of hope... but that usually ends when the words leave David Stern's mouth ... and with the ninth pick, the New York Knicks select....

I'll give you Stodemire..but Hilario was talked about on this board at length last year long before the draft. In fact Martin had his pic up on the front page. There were some high expectations last year, and I just dont feel the same buzz this year. Maybe its Laydens track record or maybe its just not the same type of talent. Who knows...I guess we will find out tomorrow - I will be happy to see what the knicks do because I am excited to find out, just not as hyped for the draft.

Ok the day is here, most GM'S FABRICATE stories at this time, most rumors are smoke screens to sell papers and keep fans talking and guessing ..websites are gonna get many hits today etc and the only guarantees are the first 3 picks going to clev, detroit and denver the rest is what makes this draft so exciting. Some teams don't want high draft picks but rather a proven veteran. But at the same time nobody wants to take on any large contracts of a veteran player. That is why this salary cap thing makes 2nd rd picks a great value in a league where "true ballers" have been known to drop to this RD.NY has 30 + 39th pick in 2nd rd with so many international players it makes those picks very valuable to teams who are worried about salary cap complications because contracts aren't guaranteed. Layden will make the right move this time or I will personaly sign off this site and tell Gony he was right about Vandummy head coaching ability! OH what am I saying?

playa, first of all, you well know guys like myself and enyspree were hyping up wilcox, and amare especially, so stop all the BS..

Next, you will soon get off Vangundy's back when he has Houston ballin in the west. He has a true center, and a star in Francis, with a good supporting cast... You are about to eat a crow sandwich!!

Want some hot sauce? haha!!!LOL!!

My friend and I also were happy when the "Knicks" picked Hilario. My first reaction was... WOW, maybe Layden has balls after all.. of course, Layden didn't pick Hilario, Kiki did. As we all know, Layden had nothing to do with that pick.

I agree, Van Gundy got the perfct gig for himself. Cleveland is a dangerous job - I dont care who you are. They are missing some major pieces and Lebron cant carry that team. But Houston has all the right pieces, and Yao is going to be a huge next season. Van Gundy should do well there.

What you guys fail to realize is everybody might not want to play vandummy's style! This is not a team full of vets who have pride to compete and win, this is a team with guys who has their own agenda's. So before you crown vandunce the "KING OF ROCK" make sure you learn how the youngsters feel about him first come playing time!

TKF hyping up? Only one guy panned out so far and that was Amare, the rest will have bad work attitudes because clipps breed losing attitudes. Matter of fact I wasn't talking about you and enyspree. Ares trying to tell me That I wasn't up on Jarvis Hayes, remember when I talked to you about him on AIMS? Or are you gonna say that's BS too.

Mighty interesting in seeing a new development in Houston.

Actually, he could'nt make it happen in NY, who cares what he does in
Houston. Your support for VG, since he is no longer NY property, is nothing more for you to discredit the actions of Dolan, Layden, Chaney and the organization.......

Hommie, there you go with that true stuff again
