i would definately all of them are number two it's like a 5 way tie. i would also add Chuck D.

so maybe the question is who is number 3 thats a hard one.

I have to give Rakim a slight edge for number two. Rakim dropped major knowledge like KRS 1 did but Rakim kept it gully, gansta and street. LL tries to be to pretty now so I cant put him in the top 5 anymore.

50 cent and dmx. i can't call them right now. i'll put eminem higher than those two. i think both can rap but it's just something about that great tag that i can't put on 50 and dmx. they are tight but not original enuff like those top 3 cats we mentioned

Tupac and Rakim. Any discussion of Hip hop starts and end right there. If you caught the R on Def Poetry, you just know the man has a way with the spoken word.

I still like LL, tho. Not for the GOAT, of course, but he's shown and proved. At this point in his career, who really cares what he puts out anymore?

And you gotta wonder how big KRS would've been if he'd done the crossover bit. He kept it home, tho. Nothing wrong with that.
