DROP IN PLAYING TIME It appears that Renaldo Balkman has played his way out of the rotation, although the reasons are not entirely clear. With his hustle and energy, Balkman was a favorite of both fans and teammates as a rookie last season. Although the Knicks badly need those qualities, Thomas rarely plays him now.
“The energy and effort that he brought to the game last year, and the consistency, he was able to change the game with his effort, with his energy and a lot on the defensive side of the ball,” Thomas said. “That hasn’t happened that much this year.”

Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Of course it hasn't happened that much this year, he hasn't been playing this year.

Maybe Balk is still a game changer in team practice?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

maybe Isiah is trying to get fired, and thus he continues to start Q and play Jeffries over Balkman?
Does anyone remember last year when Balkman guarded Yao? He kinda had a pretty major impact, and certainly did a better job guarding Yao than Curry has.

Balkman had to had done something or said something to Zeke to get this demotion.
There's no reason for him to not be getting major minutes especially on a losing team.
Isiah and his "I play the players that give us the best chance to win." hogwash has gone on long enough.
Now, of course when Balkman (or Mardy or Morris or Chandler) get time they're going to stink. It takes what... 5-10 games to get back into the groove?
It's just one more reason that Isiah must go.
Anyone read that bit where Roy Jones JR said to a reporter that he was surprised at how the Knicks practice and amazed that two players were not kicked out for not following directions and for talking back to the coach?
I wonder who those guys were.... Q for one I bet. The other? Balk maybe? I dunno just speculating. These two things (balks cut time, knicks practices) are just drops in the bucket of why Isiah should be fired.

yeah, maybe he talked back to Isiah in practice or something & Isiah's trying to teach him a lesson... who knows... i can't understand why he's benched either... he can easily give us better than what Q is giving us right now.

How could Balkman have dissed Isiah any worse than Q does every time he glares down the bench at Isiah when he gets benched two minutes into the second half?

There was a game where Balkman totally disrespected Isiah. You guys know Isiah he one vindictive dude, thats a sign of a person who is not forgiving and pretty much an A-hole.
