![]() Posted by Cosmic: the best part of that clip was Clyde's play by play "Oh-ho! Intoxicating move... leaving Hinrich inebriated." After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

![]() It's all depends on the perception of the game.
Is it a competition to win? Is it a show to bring excitement regardless of the win/lose? People need different things and Craf is the maestro of bbal entertainment. "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Hamlet

![]() Posted by Anji: Because he's an awful basketball player perhaps? Really, he's not very good at all. It was a nice move, I offered it to fans because I care, and in that I get to take a sarcastic jab at Crawful and his bulletproof supporters. In reality, he's a poor player who costs us about 3 times for every 1 time he saves us. In that, being a KNICK fan, I don't like Crawful the PLAYER. Crawford the Kid? Great kid, seems to be a great family, I have no PERSONAL ill will towards him. As a player when he goes 6-29 with 7 TOs and we get blown out? Yeah, I don't like him. Not sure why I have to keep explaining the difference between feelings towards players versus the people they are off the court...but I guess I do. Take it for what it's worth. Nice play by a highly streaky player who causes far more problems than he solves. We're 9-24. I'm not exactly happy. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!

![]() Cos, ur free to have ur opinions about the guy & i respect them, but u shouldn't ridicule those who see the positives that Jamal brings to the table... no one's making any out of left field comments about the guy... we all know his shortcomings, but we also recognize the things he does well, which is scoring the rock & creating his own shot when everything else breaks down.

![]() Posted by Panos:Posted by TMS: That's right. Too bad we have a team full of sixth men, but no starters. Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

![]() Posted by TMS: I don't seek to ridicule anyone. It's just a matter of debate. Some see Crawford as instrumental in any success we've had and any potential future success. I see a player who for whatever reason has been given the keys to teams he plays on and as a result puts up meaningful games about 1 out of 4 times. To me, 25%, won't cut it especially when that player is handling the ball and shooting the ball more than the majority of the team. Just not a good formula to try to win by. If we're counting on Crawford for success our success rate will equal his. Somewhere between .250 and .333 - incidentally our records have mirrored his overall success (In terms of what you would deem an efficient game such as last nights for example versus a poor game during a loss which are too many to mention). Just not a good idea. That's why I wonder why so many people adore him and go bonkers when he does a little and-1 trick. I'll give you an example. I think it was two years ago: Crawford did a tremendous crossover and then bricked an 18 foot fadeaway. The garden crowd screamed "OHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" when he did the crossover but there was no reaction to the miss. The opponent took the ball on a fast break and scored quickly. The garden? Still abuzz over the crossover. Message boards? Lit up with "My god did you see that crossover!!!!????" Everyone wanted the video of it. I had already deleted it since he missed the shot (back when I used to record individual plays) That day was a moment when I woke up about Crawford and those that really like him as a PLAYER. I realized he's crap, our team was crap, and he was shooting the most and handling the ball more than anyone. Didn't take long to put it together really that he's a problem far more often than a solution. I get on Crawford fans because of that mentality: Who cares if he bricked the shot or we lost the game did YOU SEE that MOVE!? *drool* 20-25 minutes off the bench, under Larry Brown's rules of restraint? Fine.......... but that's not the case is it? Okay, /rant....as I guess by now you and others know where I'm coming from regarding Jamal Crawford and what he means to the Knicks. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!

![]() Crawford's PER rating marks him as right around average. He isn't 'Crawful'. Only our SFs are (Q and JJ have a PER around 6.5)
Don't kill Crawford for this season. lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.
