If the rumor is true, we will get Jerome Williams, Lamond Murray and the fourth pick. We can use the fourth pick to select Maciej Lampe, a 7 foot center out of Poland, and he can play small forward. He is just 18 and people are already comparing him to Dirk and Gasol. I would put Maciej Lampe at small forward, I believe with his height, and ball handling skill, he can outmatch any small forward in the east. With our two second round picks, we should try to look for a quality big man if there is any. I want someone who can rebound and block shot. Lets think about this way, if McDyess can still play, and he is healthy, we can have ourself a championship team; but of course, Maciej Lampe is the key, if he can become someone like Dirk, not another Keith Van Horn.

Our Starting Five
C - Kurt Thomas(or someone is higher than 6'9'')
PF - McDyess(if he can still play) or Jerome Williams(give us more energy)
SF - Maciej Lampe
SG - Allan Houston
PG - Howard Eisley or Frank Williams(if he can play better)

With these starting five, I think the knicks would be more fun to watch.

.. if we get the fourth pick, it'll be for Bosh, not Lampe.

big mistake by comparing Dirk or Gasol to any international prospect. This is a mistake many make. There will never be nother Dirk or Gasol. You have to look at a player based on their "own" game.

Lampe won't be the pick at #4... it'll be Bosh. He is more of a post player at this point and has the higher defensive upside (I don't see Lampe being quick enough to guard the NBA #3). The TJ Ford name is worrisome... I don't want him at #4... a reach for a 5'10 point guard. If we are at #9 then different story. If we also get Jerome Williams... a great fit for this team... this would be a terrific draft. Lampe would be the pick if we stayed put or had a modest trade up... like #6 or so. I don't see Riley picking this guy. Sidenote... if we are also somehow able to come away with Josh Howard (very, very underrated) or Boris Diaw.. I'll be very happy.

I want bosh at 4 also. I keep hearing how he is skinny and not ready to bang. I don't care, this kid will be good in a couple of years, actually very good, and that is what the knicks need, I mean if we pick a player that can contribute now, what good is that to a team that needs a overhaul?..

RECOGNIZE people, last yr the Mcdyess trade wasn't known until draft day, all these rumors are bogus like a 6 dollar bill. You won't know what the knicks will do until Stern gets on the mike and starts calling teams in draft order!
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Exactly, nobody had any clue it was McDone that we would end up with. It was a huge surprise to everyone. Hopefully this years surprise will actually play for us and have some impact other then a negative one. It always makes draft day interesting but I am tired of watching the Knicks mess up their chances.

If we get the 4th pick Layden must pick Bosh.

If we get the 5th pick Layden must pick Lampe if Bosh is gone.

i agree,Bosh should be the 4th pick if the knicks do get it.Bosh is 6'11 and a 1/2 feet tall and may reach 7'.This guy could become a Jermain O'Neal type player. The only thing he needs to do really is add a few more pounds.Eventually it will happen, look at Camby.

Just need to look at KG. How skinny is he. The man is the one of the best in the game and Bosh is drawing comparisons to KG. You take Bosh if they get a deal done other wise just take Kaman or Lampe depending on availability. But they should stay away from TJ Ford that is a no no. He may be a small guy but he is a big mistake.

Bosh already has more skills than Camby.
