the guy had 6 years of injury free ball...his problem is a wear and tear problem, and possibly non correctable. Your legs are fully exended when your jumping straight up, thats what makes you go up.

its too bad...he would have been fun to watch for a long time

None of that matters. McDyess who had just came back from knee surgery should never have been on the floor. Your star just returns from a huge injury and you play him EXTENDED MINUTES in a PRESEASON GAME!!!

Non Chaney should have been fired on the spot!

Bring him along slowly and build his minutes. For the first 20 games 15-20 minutes. Next 20 games 20-25 minutes. Next 20 games 25-30 final 22 games 30-35 minutes. If he is ready for the start of the season. He still has 5 month to get ready.

If his knee is gonna go bad again, it's better it happen at the beginning of the season so the team could adjust without him breing there. If it happens late in season the team would be with a void being use to playing with Dice.

I think it's a potshot either way. As much as I don't like Non Chaney, I can't fault him for the injury to Dice. I'm of the belief that if it was going to happen, it would've happened eventually.

But to protect Dice, I guess I'd bring him along slowly as well.
