Ron, brad miller and bibby for lee, marbs, and curry
Explanation? Salary dump for Sactown as well as getting david and curry to play 4-5 for them. They already have martin, beno and salmons.
Lee
Salmons
Curry
Beno
Martin
Now that's a nice line-up.
NY?
Zach
Ron ron
Brad miller
Bibby
Craw
Nice, nice, nice!!! Still no shot blocking but this team looks like the webber team in sacramento. Brad miller is a tough bastard that rebounds, passes and can hit the jumper. Ron ron is who he is.......bibby can't play defense outside of some steals but he can play offense. He would be isiahs true extention. Dude can hit a jumpshot and let the passes fly to the right guys.
Do you like?
i think those 3 guys coming from SAC improve this team tremendously... the only problem is that deal doesn't offer SAC any kind of cap relief at all & very little chance of improving them, so why would they make the deal? Marbury's contract runs the same length as Bibby's, & Miller's deal expires a year earlier than Curry's does... plus any deal for Artest will have to involve a S&T, otherwise SAC can simply allow him to opt out of his deal or try & trade him next season when his contract is expiring & get value that way.
i think a more realistic deal is something like:
Marbury, D Lee, Malik, Chandler, Morris & Jones for Artest, Miller, Kenny Thomas, Udrih & Douby- that deal gives SAC about $20 million in cap relief after next season along w/some young players they have locked up for cheap for the next couple seasons that are serviceable at the very least... they will have to pay D Lee on a contract extension after next season, but he's a huge upgrade over KT & younger, so i don't see why they'd have a problem with that... it also opens up playing time for their young lottery pick Spencer Hawes to get some real burn at the C position & hands over the starting spot to John Salmons who was playing lights out when Artest was injured this season.
- it gives the Knicks the top defensive SF in the game who comes w/major baggage but at least Artest is productive & doesn't have a max contract... also adds some shotblocking to the C position, something we are sorely lacking, & since Miller can work from the midrange & high post, it will open up the paint for Zach to score more in the low post & stop taking those low percentage perimeter jumpers all the time... Udrih isn't spectacular as a starter, but he's a pretty good scorer & can knock down an open 3... his team defense could use some work but he's a pretty solid on ball defender.
C - Miller / Curry / Turd
PF - Zach / KT
SF - Artest / Balkman / Jefferies
SG - Jamal / Q Rich / Douby
PG - Udrih / Nate / Mardy
still, that team is a #6-#7 seed team at best for the next 3 years... so if u just wanna be somewhat competitive until some of those contracts start to come off the books & maybe make the playoffs, then this is the way to go... but if you wanna go for a draft pick this year & get a potentially big impact player to start the rebuilding now, then the best thing to do is to stand pat & deal w/the crappy basketball for the next couple years.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
