He made that Curry trade because he believed we would be NOWHERE near the lottery--not on the same scale--but he appears to have given away a high 2 which could've been a trade chip with Jones and Morris's expiring contracts. He's just been the worst manager of all facets of the job.

Seriously, do we really need another second round pick? Our entire team is one big second round pick.

I wouldn't mind having one. Sometimes second round picks pay off, although usually they don't. But I figure why not gamble with it if you've got nothing to lose.

Although honestly, Isiah really should be able to buy a 2nd rounder if there was someone he was targeting. most times you can trade for 2nd rounders using just "cash considerations".

Sometimes yes, 95% of the time, no. And, if Isiah is still around after this season and able to buy a 2nd rounder, don't worry, we'll be back in the lottery after next season too.

I wish we had I SAY UGH the GM of Toronto because he would have put protection on those 2nd round picks for at least 15yrs.

At this point it doesn't matter about the 2nd round draft picks because this Knicks team still have players that have guaranteed contracts that are not expiring. It would be D-nick all over again.

This is a great point and just shows our very sad state. When people were saying that all we gave up were second rounders, it was clear to me that it had the potential of hurting us. Once again, Thomas's lack of foresight has been damaging.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Can't do that. The point of a team trading for an expiring is to dump salary.
So we'll get back more overpaid junk in return.

I dreamed about Isiah and Dolan last night...

So, Isiah is trying to defend his tenure and I keep calling him out. A crowd forms that listens to me berate him. His face goes from a big smile to deer-in-the-headlights. Dolan comes out to support him and I tell him that he's worse. Dolan starts speaking and points at me, and I lean in and over his point and start doing the stuff I do when I try to pick a fight.

I had guests come into town for New Years that I just dropped off at the airport, but that's when they woke me up. Best dream ever... I was about to wail on Dolan!!!

Awwww, look at those pearly whites. I wonder if he's able to afford a good dentist.

PS: Was this pic taken during his alchohalic days?

I would love to knock those porcelain veneers clean off his quadruple-chinned face.

I mean, that is a Matt Dillon smile from Something About Mary.

No not Isiah, I mean the other team. From the other team's perspective,
the only attraction of an expiring contract is in relation to one they have that
is longer that they want to get rid of. Unless you are tacitly implying that
we WOULD be taking back a longer contract along with the pick...
