#1 I BEG that it doesnt precipitate moving up just to complete a dealforWalker

#2 I have to beg that we take Bosh.TJ ford is a good player but thereis no WAY you can passup a 6-11 1/2 athletic skill player with tremendous character and fundamentals

#3 Move picks 30+ Harrington to the Lakers for pick 24 and fodder pick Troy Bell PG

#4 pick Chris Marcus w 39 if not available pick Kendrick Perkins or Ndudi Ebi

I totally agree with for taking chris bosh intead of tj ford at the 4th pick. I think that in a couple of years he will turn out to be the next j oneil. He is a more solid pick than kamen. even though i think kamen will be decent. bosh is good now and his potential is still rising, but i think kamen's potential is not as high as bosh's. as for troy bell im not completely sold on his pg skills. as for the later picks i say we risk it on a tall hs center like you said or marcus. ( My dream healthy dice and zo in the middle and bosh/ thomas coming in to sub for them, Just a Dream).

#1 - Layden wouldnt make it to his car if he ever did something to that effect. Last year they chanted fire Layden. This year they might charge the floor if he did something like that.

#2 - I agree Bosh is the guy you get if you get a #4. Frontcourt players win championships.

#3 - We should be able to get bell at #30, If he gets picked up sooner Hatten isnt a bad consolation prize. He plays terrific D and is an explosive player.

#4 - I believe Knicks will trade this away. There wont be many roster spots left if the trade does happen. Knicks perhaps can swap it with a team for a pick next year. Next year we would have 4 picks (a whole lot of trade flexability)

You fellas bring up a great point....

There's all this talk about TJ Ford but Troy Bell and Marcus Hatten will most likely be available when #30 comes up. I'd rather have one of them because at the very least they are of average height for the position. As far as Athletic ability and skills...TJ isn't all that much better than Hatten or Bell...if he is at all. If Layden trades up Bosh is the pick and if Layden must have another point guard then Bell or Hatten should be picked at #30.

There will be alot of decent picks left at #39 too.

Layden can't screw up this opportunity.

By the way I don't see a reason to swap picks with Toronto if Spree si involved in the deal. If we are gonna give Spree and are only taking back #4, JYD and Murray then Toronto better be satisfied.

To Add to my prior post...

If Layden can make this trade with Toronto to get #4 without giving up #9 the Knicks can easily pick Bosh at #4 and Kaman and #9. #30 could be Bell or Hatten and #39 could be another big man like Mario Austin or someone better.

Could you imagine a Knick roster that has KT, Bosh, Kaman, Frank(if he steps up)or Bell/Hatten, and Houston? With Dyess coming off the books and Sprewell probably gone the Knicks would be set for the future and they could just let the monster contracts do their time!

Enyspree- your probably just dreaming... but the #9 will be part of any package to move up to #4 or #5. The pick at that spot will be either Lampe or Bosh.
