Dollar Bill is the man I would like to see take charge of the Knicks reconstruction project. He is a no-nonsense media savvy guy who has the brains and basketball knowledge to do the job.

Would he do it? Would he do it under the Dolan regime? That might be another story.

You would have to respect the guy, there wouldn't be any favoritism, just a results based approach. Quality personalities would be brought in, not malcontents.

I'm sure he has the opportunity to work on whatever he wants, but it would be worth a shot.

You can't be serious? Has Bill Bradley even watched an NBA game in the past 25 years? Does he know college talent? And who cares if he's media savy. Isiah is "media savy." He gives you a whole lot of nothing. I want a no nonsense President and GM in here who is going to tell it like it is. That was Dave Checketts. Rod Thorn of the Nets is that way. Great interview when he goes on WFAN. Speaks honestly about the team. It's just a damn shame he gets unnoticed working in Jersey. We need him.

Wait, so you're saying my 30 years of being a Knicks fan suddenly has no merit? Nothing has changed since Isiah became GM and brought in Stiffbury, I still root for them to lose in horribly disgusting and embarrassing fashion. I became a Bobcats fan because I REALLY miss rooting for my team to win! Plus I now live in Charlotte.

I've said it after every Isiah Thomas move, I cannot root for guys like Marbury, Curry, Randolph, James, Stevie Frankenstein, and Jalen Rose. That fun bunch should never have been allowed to walk the hallowed halls of MSG in a Knicks uniform. Having Stephon Marbury on your team is the biggest waste of time. So 4 years ago, I looked at his really bad contract and Isiah's love for him and determined we will be unwatchable for at least the length of his contract. I figured why waste my team rooting for a sinking ship, only to get upset and disappointed in the end, when I can just root for them to lose which makes me "happy" and speeds up Isiah's departure. Unfortunately I miscalculated Dolan's resolve. I always knew he was a walking disaster area, but I figured, even he had to realize at some point this ship be sinking.

Yeah I'm serious. The Knicks have problems that go beyond the product on the court. We need a smart guy who can bring some dignity back to the organization and make it the class of the league again from the top to the bottom. He can be Knicks President, bring in a personel guy like Coangelo, and a new coach, maybe John Thompson with Ewing as an assistant. Long shot there, but point is that no class guys are coming in here to coach or GM without some changes at the very top of the Knicks. Bradley would put a wall between Dolan and the operations of the team.

"Media savvy" is important in New York as well. Someone has to be able to cool the unreal tension between the Knicks and the media. Every day there is talk of firings, buyouts, trades, benchings. Reacting to that nonsense is not the way to run a basketball team. The Knicks lineup might be flawed, but the answer isn't to shuffle the deck nightly like the press wants the team to do.

I'm one of the "lovers" and I'd just like to see the team get rid of all the slime personalities at this point.

I think Marbury is movable at the end of the year. We'll see if Jason Williams is traded this year. If he can be moved than Marbury can too. James is unreal, there has to be some action the team can take, like suspending him for being out of shape all the time.

Once you have Marbs and James gone, you should have a different personality to the locker room. No freeloaders. Curry has to be held accountable as well, but there's too much talent there to jettison him. If he can get in shape, the possibility is there for him to be dominant on both ends. Ewing would be perfect to lay down the law.

You have to hope at this point that the team continues to spiral and gets a top pick. Rose would totally change the team, OJ would not, Beasley would create some issues with what to do with the current people at his position. Basically you need a running point guard with size. That would make Balkman and Jeffries much much more valuable.

We could trade Lee/Morris/Jones for JR Smith and Steven Hunter. That would give you a mobile help defense guy and a better perimeter threat. Craw/Mardy/Nate can play point until the savior comes hopefully through the draft next year. Curry can sit until he realizes the potential he has.
