To lose his father like he did, very tragic indeed. But wait Jameer is playing, yes he's having a down season so far but the guy is trying to be strong and lead his team. He's being a MAN's MAN. He was a large reason why Orlando got off to their start this yr. Meanwhile our Knucklehead point guard is fighting fines from afar.

I got Mad respect for Jameer

Mad respect or not, hate of Marbury or not, I think that this is a tad bit disrespectful.

Blue, your saying that Jameer is dedicated to plow thru his grief and perhaps dedicate his game to his pops and play with a higher purpose that maybe his dad might be proud of?

I have heard of such men who take on their profession as a means of distraction and giving purpose to their loss then dealing with personal loss over time. I have heard of men who lose loved ones and their team shows its love and respect and they deal with it like brothers.

It hurts to breath some days when we lose loved ones. Im sure Steph is really hurting.

I think we lose our sympathy when this clown makes a mockery of his marriage and proclaims to be born again obsolving himself of his infidelities. Maybe he is not getting support from his wife his teammates cuz he phuched them over real good over the years.

Steph is in the public eye because of his basketball talent and his job is to contribute to the team collective to win basketball games.

He is now "all alone" and I hope he can come out of it a better man.

Since trueblue and i get our identities confused so much, I'd like to request that when shortening our names I be referred to as "blue" and him as "true". having both of us called blue get too whacky.

I have no problem if Steph wanted to walk away from basketball for good and I'm not saying this because I want him gone. He probably should seriously think about walking away for good and construct a reasonable buyout with the team. I understand completely if his grief is beating him down. He'd probably trade everything he owns to have his dad back in his life.

Utah let Fisher out of his financial obligations due to his daughter's situation maybe MSG and Marbs can come to an amicable agreement to end the relationship just the same. I'm sick and tired of the pity side of Marbs' argument when I read that the dude isn't even showing up to practice, not hanging around the team at all, only going through certain channels of communication, and fighting fines from afar. Especially when you see players like Jameer Nelson and countless other athletes fight similar if not worse adversities.

He came back a couple of games and there were a few times the camera panned over to him on the bench. I saw a more mellow Steph but I also saw a Steph laughing it up with Curry while we were getting blown out and smiling here and there. He just pinpointed a time period to come back to the team. He could have done this a long time ago. Make a statement informing the proper MSG officials necessary from jump, including I SAY UGH when he felt like targeting a return or wanting to discuss a buyout so he can retire. Maybe return to basketball at a later time like next yr. If he chose to stay away fine, that's very acceptable IMO as long as he let them know up front. You can tell how things have gone down the team had no clue what was up with him and the dodging of practices/invisibility probably caught some off guard. I SAY UGH also appeared to be setting him up as the fall guy again and LO AND BEHOLD all of a sudden we hear officially from Steph he's coming back.

I get the sense that maybe those on the inside didn't expect Marbs back on the court but maybe thought the guy would keep bond with the team and make himself a tad more visible. The funeral brought everyone closer together right?

I think some of you misconstrue slants especially on topics that involve sensitive issues.

We also need to kill the undertones that people on this site are racists, prejudice, have no compassion, are homophobes, chauvinists, etc etc. Maybe some of us are but the premature implications of some could lessen. Ask tons of questions if need be, if we have suspicious beefs with what's stated in this forum.

I believe in a resurrection hope, maybe one day in the future whenever that may be, many of us will get another chance to see our loved ones again. Whether you personally feel that's in heaven or on earth. That would be my message to Steph concerning his dad if I was at his funeral but it doesn't absolve Steph from his duties here while he remains on earth, which includes doing right by his team/employer.

Why kill it if it is true? I remember your Isiah Thomas Jigaboo remark, and I remember your anti-gay stance when that topic came up. Just be "trueblue" and let your prejudice colors fly! At least that is respectable more so than your usual flip-flopping on everything.

I think Marbury should be back already as well. There is an entire list of players who have come back quicker from much worse tragedy, including Quentin Richardson last year after his brother was murdered. I believe Larry Hughes came back after his young brother's tragic death due to illness last year quicker as well.

There is a proper way to state these thoughts. Too bad it eludes you. Why don't you start rehabilitating your posting style from trying to be as obnoxious as possible without regard for intelligence, and just try to be regular obnoxious with some intelligence peppered in like the rest of us?

Just a thought.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Help me out: If this isn't a BASH marbury thread what is it supposed to be? BASH Jameer for playing ball? I read that article about Jameer this morning. Some people handle death their own way. We don't know how Jameer is carrying it inside.

Why cant we just let both men be?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

You've managed to do it yet again!

Talk about stalking as the old saying goes "When One Points A Finger At Another There's Always One Pointing Back At Them".

I'll hold your hand and help you cross the street on this one. My Advice is.....Tuck your thumb down in the palm of your hand if you're going to be pointing fingers at people, especially if you're trying to expose hypocrisy.

Just because you call someone a racial slur doesn't make them a racist Oohah. Was it stupid of me to call coach that of course it was. I went as far as I could go to express the dislike for him. What do you want Oohah a Cookie for this monumental achievement of B-Lining to the same ole stale topic again? Maybe a Nice slice of New York home style pizza will do, or a Nice deli Sandwich from Joe Rotelli's.

I could call woman a B**** or a H* it doesn't make me a Pimp.

I could call cops P*** it doesn't make me a Gangster

I could call Bush an object of evil it doesn't make me a Terrorist

And please tell me what my stand is on being gay, please find a quote of mine? Otherwise you're exposing yourself again, putting words in my mouth like you accused Blue of doing to you. Outside of me feeling it's a moral violation I have no problem with the individual as a person vs their action.

I used to work with an openly gay person about 12yrs ago. I was one of the few guys he spoke to. More than just the usual "Hello How Are You Doing" and "See You Later". I remember a conversation he and I had, where he tried to get my opinion on another guy. I told him where I stood on the whole gay issue. He was cooler than a fan with me from that point on. He worked in the Deli department of the grocery store we both worked at.

Uh Oh flash back I think I may be having an Oohah moment. OMG Come to think of it, the guy was a racist/prejudice/stereotyping me!!!!!!!!!! He used to give me extra pieces of Chicken when I ordered only side salads from the Deli. Yep there's no doubt in my mind he thought all black people liked Chicken.

Then you end up agreeing with me to a degree by Cliff Noting what I said, leaving out the fact I called Marbury a Knucklehead.

Nice Work..... strike up the Johnny Carson Music
