It's funny how Crawford and Curry both leave chicago and all of a sudden the Bulls not only win 50 games at one point but made the playoffs 3 consecutive seasons. Oh BTW, Curry and Crawford are #1 and #2 as the longest stint for not appearing in a playoff game in their career. Jason Richardson and Ardonal Foyle were was #1 and #2 but Golden State made the playoffs last yr. What does that tell you?

It's funny how as soon as Zach leaves Portland and all of a sudden they're not only playing much better but finally playing .500 ball

It's so funny how Marbury leaves Phoenix all of sudden they win 60 plus games and appeared twice on the Western Conference finals.

We need a bunch of players that know what it takes to get to that next level.
The Future. GO KNICKS!

Larry Brown tried to utilize Antonio, Malik and Q precisely because they've been on winning teams and had leadership qualities, but he was excoriated for it on a daily basis because the majority of fans would prefer to see Steph running no set plays, and Crawford and Nate making passes to themselves off the backboard.

I remember Brown trotting out starting lineups of Curry, Antonio, Malik, Q and Marb and we were still getting our asses kicked. Its one thing to be a part of a winning organization and its another thing to be the reason why the organization is winning. Phoe and San An are doing just fine without Q and Malik.......But with that said, I understand the point your trying to make but using Brown and Malik, Q and Antonio is not a good example.

winning is a process. Guys have to learn to win. Especially guys that never have won before. If you leave them out on an island without any leadership and expect winning to magically occur it's just not going to happen

Your point is also taken, those guys were not solutions unto themselves. But they may have been example setters, and you need them too. FWIW, our best win streak during Isiah's tenure came under Brown, with AD starting.

True, he started in the front court alongside David Lee. But as I recall, Davis started the season as our starting PF. The win streak took place in January I believe. So Davis also started through some of our most trying times to start the season off.

Jeeze, it's not like the guy was a savior. The question is, when will we win 6 games consecutively again? Can it be done without people willing to listen to a proven coach, playing the coach's style, talking to teammates sharing the wisdom of winners, setting an example, etc?

Fans have been so anxious to dump these guys for the next headcase with a 43" vertical. I feel like we're reaping the rewards of that now.
