Highly unlikely Isiah would screw up a top 4 pick. Unless he trades it.

I'd take the pick.

I really can't stand Isiah, however, I would love to have that pick.

You get the feeling he is finally starting to understand how much of a disaster he has created. I think we can build a team around that pick, Zbo, Lee, Balkman, nate, and perhaps a few others. Even Isiah is possibly starting to see how poor an overall player Curry is, and hopefully putting Curry on the bench is the first step to shipping him out.

Fire Isiah. He'll just trade the first rounder for a fat center.

I disagree completely. A high draft pick is one of the first steps to getting out our situation.

Why people think that firing Isiah will improve our record to the extend we will miss the lottery?
We will stink with Isiah or without.
So we will have a shot for the high picks regardless of Isiah firing.
And I feel much safer with this disastrous man gone forever.

Exactly, not like Herb is gonna get any more wins. We need to remove Isiah's influence first and foremost. Even if you give him the top pick, and its Derrick Rose and he's a flat out stud- its just gonna give Isiah more cause to patchwork around him.

There is not ONE person who believes firing Isiah means we make the playoffs or drastically improve.

What you are both seemingly missing in fans like myself wanting Isiah fired is that he has spent four years constructing a garbage team that even he can't coach. You want to keep him here? You want to watch him trade Malik for Darius Miles and Marbury for Kenyon Martin while handing over Lee and the 08 #1 unprotected? CAUSE THATS WHAT ISIAH DOES.

You fire him so he CANT DAMAGE US ANY FURTHER.

You fire him and PRAY that the summer of 09 that Zach, Curry, and Crawful are all playing elsewhere and we've already bought out Marbury and Malik and are only stuck with Jeffries, Q, James, and the kids and whoever we draft - and then you watch a NEW GM a competent basketball mind BEGIN building a new team during the summer of 2009.


We are ONE MORE trade away from sucking through 2011 and having to target 2011 as a salary dump not 2009.


Why on EARTH do you guys want Isiah to stay here and what on earth do you think he's going to accomplish? Our team is stacked with VETERAN PLAYERS who other teams willingly gave up. This bunch of losers is NOT GOING TO TURN ANYTHING AROUND and become a contending team.
