The Knicks rallied from a 23-point second-half deficit Sunday at the Garden with Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph on the bench. Both post players are prime candidates for more pine time, as Isiah Thomas said to expect lineup changes.
Thomas said he wanted to infuse "energy and intense guys in our lineup" for Wednesday's game at Orlando.

Lately, Curry and Randolph haven't fit into either category.

"We have to find ... a group that wants to consistently compete for 48 minutes," Thomas said after the last-place Knicks fell to 8-19.

Randolph didn't question any moves Thomas may make. He and Curry were subbed for David Lee and Malik Rose early in the second half.

It should be Curry. Zach is doing what he should do, he always plays hard, and he doesn't back down. He has heart and he will hold down his responsibilities.

Curry on the other hand, has completely crumbled, curling into the fetal position and saying uncle. His lack of toughness repulses me. He just doesn't understand how to play basketball. With his talent, it's the damnedest thing I've seen in a long time.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I think Curry should be benched also. There is also no reason why Q should still be starting. Right now Q brings nothing to the table. Jeffries is not great but I think he at least can play defense compared to Q.

Curry has to go to the bench. He is a nice enough kid but just isn't bringing it to the game. Zach's presence is a weak excuse, he should be making contributions in other areas if he hasn't found a comfort zone in getting touches when Zach is on the floor.
Last year Frye wasn't in his comfort zone and we stuck with him the hold year. Isiah can't afford to do that this year with Curry.

Here's the funny part.
When we traded for Zach, people were saying, "How could we not be better this
year with an upgrade at PF from Frye to Zach?"
Well, you're seeing how. Basketball is not just stats, and a team's success
is especially not the sum of the stats of individual players. Yes, everyone
we're worse than last year, even with the 20/10 PF upgrade.

Do you even watch the games? But again I don't understand why Q is getting any minutes and it should be Curry that goes to the bench. Last game didn't really understand Isiah's reasoning on benching Zach the guy had a double/double at half time and then you turn around and barely play him.

Bitty, I agree. I was at the game, and at some point in the second quarter, I looked up at the boxscore and Zach was the only one with any production.

I wonder if he's trying to send the message: you guys either learn to play together or you'll sit together.

Bitty, I agree. I was at the game, and at some point in the second quarter, I looked up at the boxscore and Zach was the only one with any production.

The problem is threefold: (1) he's a one-on-five player that (2) rebounds well yet shoots 18 footers and (3) is more concerned about his stats than he is with the team, such as his in-game arguments with the refs and things he's said to the papers.

Randolph is the Marbury of the PF universe. I'd rather start David Lee, despite his many flaws. He at least is (1) a team player (rebounds well and plays offense near the basket and (3) is a total team player, as evidenced by his comments after Florida won the first NCAA championship.

This is like the second time he did that to Zach. It is almost as if Isiah can't tell the difference between Curry and Zach. Last game Zach hit like 3 shots in a row and Isiah sat him down to not play him again. It's only a matter of time before Zach does a spin move drop kick in Coach Eye Brows face.

The explanation is a lot simpler than that. Isiah is sabotaging the team.

I think those two would prefer to sit together and collect checks... learning how to play together requires sacrafice and work...

I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but the number is pretty shocking to me.

21

That is the number of minutes that each of Zach and Eddy played in the last game.
Honestly, I never thought Zeke would do it. Desperation is certainly set in.

i still think that isiah has to try to make zach and eddy work together. making lineup changes is short term thinking.

long term fixes are firings and trades.
