won't get the hype because of others on the team--but at 6-9 220 with a good handle, great energy incredible athletiscm, diversified skill set great defender and a very nice jumpshot--I think he may have a meteoric rise up the draft charts into top 5 positioning at the end of the day because he is a two way impact player or someone I would say could be the next Shawn Marion

Wilson Chandler can shoot............ I think........ I don't really know actually...

anyway Stanley Robinson had a good game that game but he didn't really look like super impressive in that clip.

You would've had to watch the play live to see what I am talking about. How about he looked like a direct version of Shawn Marion. He had 24 points 7 rebounds 2 blocks at half and they kind of went away from him or he would've had the biggest scoring game this year in CBB. He seems to have finally gotten used to Storrs[coming from Alabama there is a shell shock + he had a kid back home]and is starting to shed the rawness to his game. He plays with very high energy and tends to play way to fast. When you play to fast--it's hard to shoot and execute a lot of intangibles---you end up with bonehead mistakes and on Uconn that means the bench. Forget all of that--let's say IMHO--he BELONGS up there with ANY name you have heard at the top of the draft IF he can play in control and to potential like he did yesterday. He is strong long[6-9 with a 7-3 wingspan] an explosive jumper and when he plays in control has a very nice touch from mid range and 3. He can handle well for 6-9 and the way the NBA is changing--he appears to be a prototype fit and has star potential in an open system. He's also tough has a chip on his shoulder and plays very hard D. You could see what he has but when he finally puts it together--well I think he may have impressed the scouts that were there looking at Hasheem.

Its good to see Robinson finally live up to some of the hype that exceeded him when he first arrived at Storrs. I would like to see him put up performances like that against Big East competition aswell as in the tournament before I start to compare him to Gay, or Marion.

briggs i love your recommendations, could this guy be another denham brown? i love getting non-uconn players b/c of your obvious bias to calhoun's team (alum? booster? just live in CT and see the team a lot?)

i would say your success rate w/ prospects is 95% w/ non-uconn guys but lower w/ uconn guys. anybody in the NCAAs you see as a sleeper on par with this guy? anyway, thanks for this, keep up the great work doing whatever it is you do finding these guys.

for the record, briggs has chosen d-wade, amare, bynum, sean williams, who else? you should run the knicks!

Vote early. Vote often. Vote BRIGGS.

BigSmooth, Briggs was also the first and only one that was decrying the trading of the two unprotected draft picks for Curry as a terrible mistake. I remember it like it was yesterday. No one here thought we could possibly be in the lottery with those picks.

That kid Eric Gordan is really growing on me. I think he is going to be a beast. He has that IT.

I have Uconn bias--but look at Uconn players in NBA??? Denham Brown is not someone I would compare to Stanley Robinson. I think some times these young kids move from place to place[alabama to storrs] have family issues and are put out of position and they struggle. You have to see through this stuff and look at the individual's body type/ talent/skills/energy--how he affects game etc... and now this player appears to me as if he is shedding the raw edge and showing what he can do at 6-9 220. He is a TOUGH guy he has elite athletiscm with size with diversified two way skills and plays at TOUGH program. I know he is not on any draft list right now but that means nothing to me. If he continues on the path he is going at end of year he will be a top 10 pick maybe higher. If he still has raw edge--maybe next year. But this is lottery talent no doubt in my mind.
