Anyway, Lakers are inconsistent and Knicks are unpredictable. Anything can happen.

I'm very excited for this game. We are going to see future Knick Kobe Bryant, I understand he is nearly the equal of Demetris Nichols!

Dude you are fairly new to this board so let me explain: The Hater label was established by the so-called haters, as was the term "lovers". And yes, I agree that it is weak and played, that is why I don't use it.

Has nothing to do with being new to the board. It's also a staple of RealGM speak. I've been posting online about the Knicks going over 10 years and it's been a mainstay of multiple forums past and present.

I'm saying it's just plain silly labeling anyone haters or lovers. I choose to use more realistic terms such as optimists and pessimists. The difference? The prior suggests "real fans" versus "completely fake fans just here to upset us real fans" where the latter indicates we're all fans with just a difference of opinion on the team.

Okay, I'm just explaining to you the evolution of this term on this board. It's probably used a little differently. Around here, Hater is frequently meant as "smart", and Lover as "stupid".

So while you may find that "Hater" is meant as an insult to be hurled at realGM (You're a hater!), here it is used amongst certain posters in a cliquish fashion to refer to themselves, which does not connote that a "hater" is the real fan, and the "lover", the fake fan.

It's like bizarro RealGM! Like ! said, it used a little differently, if you watched how it has grown in this particular place, you would know what I am saying.
