The Phoenix at Boston game time is changed to 7:00 PM ET and will now be
televised by ESPN. The Miami at New York game will no longer be televised
by ESPN.

the key question - does that hurt james dolan's bottom line? does he get some sort of windfall for having his team broadcast nationally? or is it actually good for him because everyone who watches will still be on MSG?

Can you blame them ? Even Knicks fans don't want to watch their team, that would make for terrible rating !

For a second I thought the Heat are largely responsible but looked at the fact they just played on ESPN 2 times within the past 2-3 weeks and they are scheduled for several more Airings

Knicks are irrelevant. We are not hated( usually good/ great teams are hated) and we are not loved. We are only hated by our fans and the rest of the nation doesn't even have any feelings towards the knicks.. therefore we are irrelevant.. and to top it off, that game wasn't until march, so ESPN doesn't even think that change for the knicks is anywhere in sight...

LOL.. this is what we have come to. Largest TV market in sports and our basketball team, in an important, the most important NBA city is irrelevant.... Really what ESPN did was more like a public safety gesture.. I mean why should millions be exposed to this radioactive mess, we call the knicks...

Anyone who sits around and waits for the lottery to better themselves, either in real life or in sports, Is a Loser............... TKF

While the Knicks and the Heat may have played a role in this decision, I think it's more likely the fact that Boston/PHX could be a preview to a Championhip game...I'll probably be wathing that game regardless of what the Knicks are doing...

Psssht, ESPN is stupid and doesn't know anything. I'd kill to see Malik Rose and Stephon Marbury on the pick and roll.

Up in Boston people are upset. They get enough of the Celtics during the week. They were hoping to see that legendary match-up between Mardy Collins and Chris Quinn. Oh well.
