The constant target of "Fire Isiah" chants at the Garden, Knicks president Isiah Thomas promises to oust players in a roster shakeup if the team doesn't start winning.

A day after blasting his team's lack of heart, courage and toughness, Thomas - in a stunning admission - yesterday conceded that he might have misjudged his players, all of whom he brought to New York. Now in his fifth season in New York, and without a playoff win or winning record during his tenure, Thomas admits he might need to start a new rebuilding chapter, even as fans continue to call for his firing and boo the last-place team he has personally assembled. Season-long speculation has had him in danger of losing both of his jobs.

"It's safe to say we're not happy about where we are and I'm not happy about where we are," Thomas said after practice in Greenburgh. "And if we don't turn it around soon, then we'll have to make some changes."

Larry tried to tell him, but he wouldn't listen... vying for street cred will get you in trouble.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Why would anyone trust Isiah to make more trades? He's already turned the roster over twice. Why allow him to do it a third time? Why endure this any longer? He's not going to rebuild he's going to re-tool and that's going to mean more players on 2011 or 2012 contracts and names like Darius Miles, Kenyon Martin, Antoine Walker, Ron Artest, etc.

Meanwhile they will keep losing while the 2011 cap becomes so filled that it would be the next conceivable year that a proper tear down of his newest disaster could be completed.

This is just ridiculous.

If Isiah will stay they will not sell any season tickets at all.
Regardless of what he said he is gone. This is just matter of time.

dolan is holding the fans hostage, and when people feel oppresed they revolt, that is why we see the venom, the boos and now even the chants during wins.... It is all deserved at this point. My co-worker and friend just said this morning, "what is going on in NY is almost historic".. and really it is.. historically dreadful.... isiah needs to go, we need to purge this mess, time for a NY knick enema!!!

Dolan is up there with Ted Stepien - in fact, I think he has exceeded him in being able to destroy a franchise.

Isiah will be gone before any of this BS happens. He is refusing to step down right now because of his "pride." This is also reflected in his reluctance to change the line-up.

Notice he said that he will "die fighting." TRANSLATION: you will have to fire me because I won't quit. Until Dolan does the deed, he is not going to step down.

I think he is making empty threats because he knows he will not last the next two weeks. I also think he is trying to undermine the media policy by throwing everyone on the team under-thee-bus. Problem is, Isiah NEVER did this before and the team may not respond to this. Think about it, he is directly indicting the 15 players HE PERSONALLTY SELECTED...he is trying to cover his ass.

In a roundabout way Isiah's fanny is being left out in the wind with humiliation just like LB hanging on down in Charleston not knowing when they were going to send him packing.

Karma ia something huh?

Knowing Isiah this means he is going to be trading our first round pick.

There are 24 million reasons why Dolan hasn't fired Isiah yet. Dolan may have deep pockets, but they aren't bottomless. After paying LB, Chaney, Lenny, Shandon, Mo Taylor, Jalen, Houston, Jerome Williams and any other player/coach who remained on the payroll while no longer with the team, even Dolan has had enough.
