RASHO NESTEROVIC & ELDEN CAMPBELL can be had for the midlevel exception & picking up DERRICK COLEMAN aswell. ( all on 2yr contracts ) We release KNIGHT, WARD, NAILON, POSTEL, POPE & HARRINGTON. Front line of NESTER & CAMPBELL at center with D.C. & K.T. at the PF spot. Just a thought

I think Nailon and Harrington are talented and would play well for us if motivated with PT. But signing older guys is going to get us in trouble. So I dont see us signing any one of those guys with the exception of Elden Campbell.

Whomever the knicks center will be , he won't be called on to be much of a scorer anyways. Most likely and defensive guy who excels and picking up garbage points, so why spend money on an aging vet who have little in the tank.

I agree.

Knicks need to focus on trying to get younger. Campbell beat out by Magloire(sp?). In Seattle he couldn't get off the bench. He's almost 40.

Nester isn't that good to waste 4.5 mill on. There are plenty of centers out there that could be given a chance and the Knicks wouldn't have to spend so much money on. The draft is one....that russian kid looks like Baby Hughey. If Toronto or Miami pass on him the Knicks will pick him. If he's gone the Knicks are definately gonna pick up between Bosh, Kaman, or Lampe. I think one of those will drop.

Thats the same kind of mentality that made us drop Artest for Weis. The same thinking that made us drop Loren Woods for a Nobody who couldnt make the squad. (Could you imagine how bad Nobody had to be not to be picked up by the knicks, the guy was 7foot-1)

If Podkolzin drops to 9 we pick him up in a heartbeat, that is, if he stays in the draft. If Badiane or Walton drops to 30 we pick one of them up no matter what. If Chris Marcus drops because of legitimate injury issues, we pick him up at 39.

Beggars cant be choosers.

sorry its not the same sub.this guy is 7-5 303 which is hard to get these days and if no one wants him 2-8 then something is wrong.we not talking about skills which was the case with Artest, who i wanted the knicks to draft.

ARTEST WAS A GOOD CHOICE BUT NOT FOR THE KNICKS. If you think A.I had a posse Artest would have made the paper off the court many times over. Did you ever here how he says "all i want to do is help out the people in my hood" Making sure they all right. Ask him who does he pattern his game after , he says some playground legend nobody knows unless they live around his way in NY. LOL

Your correct Playa but i would have at the very least drafted him in order to trade him for someone we could have used then.

Especially when you consider the alternative! I hate french fries!
