Dolan was back in his baseline seat after missing the last three home games following the settlement of the sexual-harassment lawsuit. And if a picture can say it all, this was it. After a Knick turnover with 5:31 left, Dolan put his two hands to his face and looked down to the court, unable to watch Mike Dunleavy sink a 3-pointer seconds later, putting the Pacers up 22 points.

Garden security was on alert. A fan carrying a "Fire Isiah'' sign behind the bench had it removed by a security guard and was ejected minutes later, according to a witness, for heckling.

Chants of "Fire Isiah'' poured down in the final six minutes during the latest massacre.

As the fans chanted "Fire Isiah,'' Dolan stared at the ground for several more seconds, unwilling to look up at the mess Thomas has made with New York basketball. It's been nine days since Dolan's private edict to Thomas that his job was not in jeopardy.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I don't understand how dolan can watch this up close, and not realize how hopeless this roster is, and that the best course of action is to remove isiah and start again.

could it be that to do so would acknowledge he was wrong, and so many people were right? people like david stern, marv albert, lb. and every sports writer in the city?

or, can dolan honestly believe this squad under isiah can 'turn it around'?

Either he's waiting until the off-season/later in this season to make a change or the losing hasn't affected the bottom line ($$$) enough yet.

Or the rumors about a lobotomy are true.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

Dolan is whistling the following tune to himself in that picture:

I can only hope that the venom from the crowd will have a cumulative affect on Dolan thus eventually causing him to act.

LOL!

Hey, it's always been two fold with Isiah's firing right now.

1: Was the Anucha situation. Now that's done.

2: Was Dolan finding a way to terminate Isiah's contract - versus - just firing him and paying him the 24M owed.

Once #2 is clear to Dolan it's going to happen. He's just getting his ducks in a row IMO. Hey, Stern helped dock LB's pay.....maybe it'd be wise of Dolan to wake up, tell Stern he needs help, agree to hire a suggested person of Stern's, and Stern helps screw Isiah in arbitration.

It's just a thought.......

The remaining bit is Dolan is hoping Isiah quits but as we all know Isiah already told confidants that "They can take my pride, they can take my dignity, but they CANT take my MONEY"

So, well...

I don't know anything about the legal aspect of this, but can Isiah's direct responsibility for the Harassment settlement be grounds for terminating his contract (without having to pay the rest of it)?

Wrong. He wasn't upset at the Knicks or the 'fire isiah' chants. He was upset because he forgot to apply his Preperation H. Even the wealthy get butt volcanoes.
