What are some realistic trade scenarios for Eddy Curry "Yes I called him Whoopi because he plays basketball like a bitch" Curry? Would any other team want this man seeing his defensive ineptitudes? Can we trade him for what he traded away to get him?

Interested IMO: Wizards, Nets, Bulls, Kings,Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, Seattle and maybe San Antonio

Wizards would have a balanced offense being that they are a perimeter oriented team right now. They don't play much defense so Curry would fit right in. Only problem is can his fat ass would slow down their offense

Nets would love Eddy Curry. They have NO low post scoring. Jason Kidd might turn him into an all star. Play him beside Sean Williams and their team looks a lot scarier.

Bulls are another team without low post scoring. Skiles forgot how valuable low post scoring was until he traded Curry away. I heard they want Gasol but Curry might be easier to get at this point.

Kings are another perimeter based team. With Miller, Kenny Thomas and Abdur-Rahim (who just received season ending surgery)aging, the future for their frontline doesn't seem too bright. Adding Curry will help that team alot and maybe they can sneak into the playoffs.

Atlanta and Charlotte are in the same boat. Atlanta has Horford but they have him and Josh Smith playing out of position. Smith should be at the 3 with Horford at the 4. Add Curry to the 5 and the become to 5 in the east. Why? because they already have ball hawking defenders in Smith and Horford. Curry defensive ineptitudes will be overlooked due to his defensively aware teammates. His low post offense would be a breath of fresh air to the franchise. Same with Charlotte only thing is they have Gerald Wallace and Okafor.

Miami might no be a good fit with Curry being that the coach is defensive guru Pat Riley. But if they needed the low post threat that Shaq was, why not Eddy Curry? He can come off the bench and spread out the offense when he is doubled which would allow Wade and the Heat to run wild again.

Seattle probably won't happen due to their coach's constant emphasis on getting the defense better. Curry would balance the offense but they probably wouldnt make that move.

Now I know your thinking wtf would San Antonio want Eddy Curry. You put Curry on the Spurs and he is surrounded by great defenders. Tim Duncan will have to save his ass on the defensive end every game, but on the offense end he can take a lot of pressure off Duncan by handling most the low post workload. This trade is doable but highly unlikely.

***BTW Eddy is the name of a 1996 movie about the New York Knicks. Whoppi Goldberg was the coach and her name was Eddy. Her job was to turn around the once proud franchise from their constant losing(Zeke). Her signing led to mass publicity(Zeke!!!). There are many similarities on that team's roster to what we have now (Eddy Curry and the European dude, Marbury and Stacy). Only thing is they began winning.***

The NBA was a game made for the fans pleasure. The New York Knicks were one of the best teams at doing just that. New York is the gateway to the international market. The fans wish the Knicks can come back to the forefront. New York want the Knicks to come back to the forefront. The NBA needs the Knicks to come back to the forefront.

Our franchise is dying and has been for a long time now. It will be dying for the foreseeable future. James L. Dolan we need changes. We need changes now. Don't do it for yourself. Do it for the world.

Nothing personal but all these trades SUCK. Get a new GM and let him deal with it.

fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

In all seriousness - the Bulls.

They have enough shotblocking to just use Curry in the same role they had him before - low-post scoring at the beginning of halves.

Obviously we couldn't get anything close to what we traded for him, but maybe just Tyrus Thomas?

I could see the Wizards MAYBE being interested.

Some teams might be interested, but it'd have to be post-Isiah (who would never trade Curry for what he was realistically worth)

the point is to clear that contract & to get back players w/more manageable deals... what upside does Curry have at this point? he looks like a lost cause right now, & there's nothing that tells me Isiah's even contemplating trading Zach either, so he is the logical choice to go.

Haywood would at the very least provide some shotblocking, something we are severely lacking at this point... Curry would have Etan to complement his game in WAS... Songaila's serviceable... i think that makes pretty good sense even w/o the cap considerations.

ur free to hate these ideas... i'd like to hear what u think is a more reasonable trade for us to pursue.

I was thinking alot about this and a while ago, I would have LOVED to get Artest for Curry, but now that is an actual possibility, I am worried about just the string of headcases that we have to endure.

Personally, I really like Garcia. If we got him in an Artest trade, I would be happy.
