either reservations for 2 at a restaurant or 2 tickets to an event. and then you be the one to accompany her. mothers like their sons to take them out and spend time with them. even publicly-embarrassing ones like fish.

Thats what I got my Dad.

My moms is an ungreatful bastard.....she has yet to appreciate anything i ever gave her on christmas. This years she says she wants a coat of all things.....so I'm going half on a nice coat with my sis.

Fish....give your moms a card with a personal note in it saying...."I didn't ask to be born!!!!.....guess who gets to eat cat poop this christmas?!?!?!"

Here's a little idea: a digital picture frame. You load it up with a bunch of pictures and put it on the table. It can show one, or rotate thru them. Load it up with some pictures of the family.

Those make really nice gifts- especially for mothers who many not be very computer savvy and like having picture frames around the house etc. That's a great idea.

Ahh, not all of them expire. Just have to make sure where you get them.

I don't have to worry about my father's expiring. Last year EVERYONE got him Sears gift cards. I think they were used up by early February.
