December 14, 2007 -- IF we've learned one thing - and that's debatable - it's clear there are no lethal losses in the warped sports world of James Dolan.
Not three points to a Dwayne Wade-less (and previously winless) Miami at home.

Not An 0-4 western road trip, where Isiah Thomas lost whatever respect his fully renovated roster of Knicks may have had for him by brushing off the players' unanimous vote to sit homing pigeon Stephon Marbury for one game for the game he deserted them.

Not getting waled at home by two dozen and two by the Warriors.

Not an embarrassing 104-59 Massachusetts mail-it-in, where only Nate Robinson's buzzer-beating half court heave prevented an all-time low franchise point total.

Not a home-and-home horror against the sad-sack Sixers, losing two by a combined 39 points.

Not even the most recent repulsion, a 117-110 Garden-variety gag against the 5-17 StuporSonics, who, unlike the Knicks, played the previous night, are 29th of 30 teams in defense allowed (109 points), and are devoid of a true center, thus forcing them to rely on Kurt Thomas, the last physically and mentally tough guy to play for the False Prophet.

Guess who had twice as many blocked shots (two) as the entire Knicks team? Guess who had nine points, eight rebounds in 30 minutes? Guess who's one of the elite mid-range jump shooters still active? Guess whose savage pick freed Kevin Durant for the victory-deciding two-handed jamboree?

At 6-15 entering tonight's escape from New York to Oprah-ville, the Knicks are batting .286; and then there are those athletes, George Mitchell (Wiggins) submits, who should be authorized to swig performance en hancing drugs.

If this were a limbo contest, we'd already have the winner. How low can the Knicks go before Dolan must admit he was a dope last season for bequeathing Thomas a re ported 4-year, $24 million extension?

I know I'm an ass to assume Dolan understands the concept of the NBA standings. Still, I've got to believe even he realizes it's not encouraging to be tied for last in the Eastern Conference with the Heat - whose record is misleading considering Wade is back in the high life again - and be ahead of but one, the 3-17 Timberwolves.

The Knicks' wins and losses, the disparity in the results, the chumps they've made look like champs, the bad body language, the fake shame by hiding their heads under towels, and the unconstructive compatibility in all lines of work give us the vague impression the players have quit on the eagle talent eye responsible for rounding up every single one of them in suspect trades, free agent squandering and the draft, where it appears (no offense to Wilson Chandler) the team president who impersonates a Knicks coach at games and practices came up zero last June.

Does Dolan comprehend any of the observable above or is he oblivious to most of it? Guess that answers that. Otherwise, security would've escorted Thomas and his staff out of the building weeks ago.

So we agree Dolan fails to grasp the majority of those transpiring transparencies. That doesn't make him a bad person, just a slack superior of the highest order who adheres to anesthetized impulses and doesn't listen to a soul.

Allow me to qualify that; twice now, when Dolan was making more of a fool of himself than usual, David Stern was able to influence him to settle the Larry Brown and Anucha Browne Sanders ugliness.

In the last case, no doubt Dolan avoided punitive penalties, additional harmful publicity and a suspension for himself, Garden president Steve Mills and Thomas.

If I know Stern, part of that deal could involve a promise from Dolan that Thomas will be fired shortly.

In the meantime, I wonder if Dolan has the foggiest notion how depressing the Knicks locker room has become. If not, he should do himself a favor and find a source other than Mills and the Garden's public relations staff of stiffs.

I don't know how to say this so I guess I'll just write the truth: Everybody, from the players to male secretary Jonathan Supranowitz, want Thomas to lose. He has united your organization against him.

Only players owning guaranteed mega-million contracts dare show it - on a nightly basis. They do not want to play for him. Many, I'm told, have asked, demanded and screamed to be traded at assistants in the dressing room after looses.

Malik Rose is on the record as wanting out. Quentin Richardson, David Lee and Eddy Curry also are begging to be gone.

The good news is, Nate Robinson, I'm informed, has spewed, too, a desire to distance himself from the insane asylum run by Nurse Ratched, er, Thomas. Who wouldn't want such an inventive maker of plays? No matter how well he's covered, IncrimiNate is always able to find himself open for a shot.

How depressing have the Knicks become? The other night a player told me Curry was moaning on the bench, "Get me out of here. Please get me out of here."

Hey, I've got an idea: Fire Isiah instead.

It's done if this is true.

Q-Brick, Malik Blows, Fatty McCurry all want out.

Now Lee and Nate do too? Wow...it's bad....it's very bad.

The players want to lose so Isiah gets fired? It's understandable but players who take that route are mentally fragile and would never win even with a coach they love. That coach was once Isiah Thomas so who's to say they wouldn't turn on the new coach?

Fire Isiah, appoint Grunwald interim GM, appoint Hanners interim coach.

If Grunwald can put together deals to deport this trash then do it. If he can't then wait until the summer, fire Grunwald, and get someone in here to do this properly.

thank you Peter Vescey. I hope your efforts, and the efforts of other writers to focus so much on how isiah needs to be fired, will ultimately resonate in the tiny brain of jimmy dolan.

Is dolan this dumb? Honestly, there should be a litmus test for intelligence and those failing should be disbarred from family wealth.

Has anyone noticed- I believe studies have confirmed- that children in wealthy family's tend to be stupid and unmotivated. Not all- but when you see an example, its glaring.

Many of us here should be able to walk up to Jimmy and tell him he doesn't deserve his wealth, his position, and kick him out of his home.

Owning a sports franchise is more than owning a business. There is fan loyalty which is very different than brand loyalty. And as such, there is a certain respect that such ownership requires - and dolan slaps us and spits on us every day he does nothing with isiah.

I generally don't drink coffee in the morning, but **** man. Eddy Curry IS the Knicks. He's a lazy **** who's not interested in getting better and not interested in winning. And he's walked into an environment where the world ****ing revolves around him and he's coddle at every goddamn step of the way. And he's miserable and wants out? Be honest with yourself Eddy. You don't give a **** about winning or basketball. That's clear from your game. You give a **** about getting fat and getting paid. The Garden is your Garden of Eden buddy.

Damn, seriously I shouldn't be so upset about this, but its absolutely clear for over a week now that he's been tanking his game, And it sickens me that he can't seem to realize one of the main reason's we're in this **** is Eddy himself. We basically invested EVERYTHING in him with the tacit agreement that he'd start fulfulling his potential and he still doesn't jump on a rebound or put his hands up on D. Get over yourself Eddy, seriously.

Damn, Des.. you musta drank alot of coffee, I've never seen you this pissed!

We've invested alot into Eddy as a franchise and as fans and he's given us absolutely nothing back except the chance to use fat jokes. As you said, he's been coddled beyond belief and this is how he repays the fans who have been so ever-patient with him and have given him chance after chance to show that he cares just a LITTLE bit.

Way to go Eddy.

Everybody can't play and handle NY, that's not to hard to understand.

TRADE CURRY AND NATE ROBINSON TO DENVER FOR STEVEN HUNTER AND J.R SMITH
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I believe you guys understand that these articles are read by everybody around NBA.
The people at the helm of each NBA team have much more inside about each NY Knicks player and what is going on.
How you can even think that anybody want any piece of this mess transferred to them?

Isiah not only make himself mister Zero and nullified his future with basketball. He also degraded the value of all players on this roster to nothing.
Even if they will be taken by somebody and not cut right away, teams will take a long look at them before putting any trust in their game.

And players start realizing that they are going down with Isiah and their future in NBA is in danger.
Their agent are talking to them and are reporting that nobody will pay them good money anymore and they need to get out ASAP to minimize the damage and distance themselves from the disease named Isiah.

NBA and Players union MUST act and protect NBA and Knicks players from Dolan, Isiah and Co.

Please- the rate at which Eddy was going at Chicago he probably would've at himself of the team like Sweetney did. They were fully ready to make that kid sit out an entire year and spun that heart problem to a T so they wouldn't have to pay him.

And then we came and bailed both of them out. Isiah was Eddy's white knight and did everything he could to make him a star last year. If anything Eddy's value was pumped by being here and scoring 20 a game, b/c other coaches would not have forcefed him the ball or gave him the minutes we did they way he turned it over and played no D.

If you will be a GM what you will give up for Eddy and Nate... or for any other player from NY roster?
I am not talking about dumping salary or getting picks from NY but about straight-up swap.

Despite the character assasination I've put on him in this thread, believe me that GM's will give up something of value for Eddy. But remember they will see him for what he is- a 25-30 mpg matchup problem at center. Against certain teams he can be very effective because of his physical ability and give you tons of easy baskets down low- but he's not an anchor or a player who deserves to play 35 mpg b/c he doesn't give you enough in other aspects of the game. But there is value to his scoring.

Just don't expect 2 lotto picks back.

Can you name any starting center that is worth that Eddy?
I am not talking about scoring points but about overall impact on the team results.
He is a liability on defense, killing the offensive flow of the game, required to get some specific players to cover his deficiencies, is a time bomb because of his health and conditioning, and has very soft character. A lot of WNBA centers are better and need lover size bra.

Players want out because they can't handle the NY media and the fans pressure, they are to quick to turn on people. They want the laid back crowds and media of Sacramento, Florida and Midwest. You can'te the players for wanting out, you get the same money and less pressure.
