I'm sorry, but Lebron is better right now. He's proven to be just as consistent a per game scorer as Bryant and does it with a better shot selection Plus he brings more to the table with rebounding, assists etc. And the guy is 6 years younger. Look, Kobe has a more talented squad than Lebron has and I realize they are in the Western conference, but since he's been on his own he hasn't consistently raised the level of his teammates the way that Lebron has IMO.

Lebron is great, BUT he doesn't have the killer instinct that Kobe has.
Its the same fear that MJ used to put in his opponents.

Very good point.

LeBron can carry a team further on his shoulders than Kobe, and he is much younger, I thought this was a no brainer.

For all the Lebron pickers - let me ask you this:

If there is 2 seconds left in the game, you are down by 1 - who would you rather have the rock - Lebron or Kobe?

Sure you can say all you want about how Kobe is selfish and Lebron plays nicer with other - but Kobe is simply a better player.

I don't think I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Kobe is the better player... in fact many would say LeBron is simply just the better player. LeBron's numbers are in fact better and he makes his team better.

Take two exactly identical teams, then insert Kobe in one and LeBron in the other. Who goes further?

both those guys make their teams better... both are big shot makers... both are incredibly talented players & alltime HOF names... if the game is on the line & i gotta pick 1 guy to take that final shot, i'm picking Kobe... as for Lebron being the better overall player argument, he's a better rebounder, plays less selfishly & has better court vision... Kobe's the best shotmaker in the game & has that assassin's instinct that another poster talked about that can't be taught... Lebron has that too, but Kobe's just on another level when that's concerned.
