Clemens and Pettitte are the most obvious since they were already named in a previous story. I wonder what kind of evidence the Mitchell report will have or will it just be a regurgitation of past accusations.

I wonder if the Red Sox employee will put any "prominent" Red Sox players on the list.

If it's Jeter, Posada, Pettitte, Mariano, or Bernie or any of the current kids, I'll cry like a baby.

apparently arod is re-signing today as well. hopefully they know he's not on the list so they can try to deflect some of the bad press they're gonna get today.

And if it's ARod, I wont be surprised, but I will be pissed.

you look at that list and you see a bunch of everyday players that have broken down as they got older, to the point their a shell of their former self.

Personally, I'm so happy that my childhood idol and still favorite player Ken Griffey Jr. wasn't mentioned on this list. I never thought he did roids but you just never know and I'm happy to see he's not named.

I can't believe Pettitte is listed, what the hell did he need them for? His elbow problems?

Pettitte worked out with Clemens when he came to the Yanks and magically added 3-4 mph on his fastball.

That'll do it. I figured maybe he used them for his elbow recovery.

All the times I've heard in my life that Clemens is such a "workout machine" and he's "in such great shape" is such a joke. I hope he doesn't set foot near the HOF.

Definitely. And Varitek is one of the guys thats had a huge problem with ARod, especially when he knocked the ball out of Arroyos glove in the playoffs a few years ago. Now ARod can say to him... you called me a cheater?

Major Stars to Be Named In Baseball's Steroids Report
Topics:SportsBy CNBC.com With Wires | 13 Dec 2007 | 12:03 PM ET Font size: Several current and former baseball stars are among expected to be named in a report later today on steroid use in Major League Baseball.

The following names are expected to be named in the report, according to WNBC:

James A. Finley / AP
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Farnsworth, Ryan Franklin, Rich Garces, Jason Grimsley, Troy Glaus, Juan Gonzalez, Eric Gagne, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Giambi, Jeremy Giambi, Jose Guillen, Jay Gibbons, Juan Gonzalez, Clay Hensley, Jerry Hairston, Felix Heredia, Jr., Darren Holmes, Wally Joyner, Darryl Kile, Matt Lawton, Raul Mondesi, Mark McGwire, Guillermo Mota, Robert Machado, Damian Moss, Abraham Nunez, Trot Nixon, Jose Offerman, Andy Pettitte, Mark Prior, Neifi Perez, Rafael Palmiero, Albert Pujols, Brian Roberts, Juan Rincon, John Rocker, Pudge Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Scott Schoenweiis, David Segui, Alex Sanchez, Gary Sheffield, Miguel Tejada, Julian Tavarez, Fernando Tatis, Maurice Vaughn, Jason Varitek, Ismael Valdez, Matt Williams and Kerry Wood.

Mitchell's report exposes a "serious drug culture within baseball, from top to bottom," fingers MVPs and All-Stars and calls for beefed-up testing by an outside agency to clean up the game, The Associated Press learned.

The report by former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell will include names of 60 to 80 players linked to performance-enhancing substances and plenty more information that exposes "deep problems" afflicting the sport, one of two sources with knowledge of the findings told the AP. Both sources said the report would not address amphetamines.

The two sources were familiar with discussions that led to the final draft but did not want to be identified because it was confidential until its scheduled release. They said the full report, which they had not read, totaled 304 pages plus exhibits.

Mitchell, a Boston Red Sox director, planned to release his report at 2 p.m. Thursday during a news conference in New York City. CNBC.com will carry the conference live.

LOL....

I could look at guys over the past few years who all of a sudden during this steroid controversy, have broken down, lost HR power, I mean it became so obvious. I am suprised eric gagne is not on that list.. or maybe I just missed him..
