Below is Hollinger's odds for all NBA teams to make the playoffs as of right now. Apparently we have a 0% chance of making the playoffs and a 19% chance of winning the lottery!! Our worst record is 13-69 and the best we can do is 35-47!!

No problema man.
The Product is not made for playoff.
It is made for pleasure of Mr. Dolan, Mr. Mills, and Mr. Tomas.
You can join them and enjoy the Product too.
It's free country.

if we end up winning the lottery this year & getting a franchise player for the 1st time since Ewing was drafted, then the Zach trade could very well have been a God send in it's own twisted way.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

But the shame of it is if we still have the same jackasses on this team, do you really want to see Curry, Zach, and Marbury
corrupt our lottery pick with their lazy uninspiring ways?!?!? Hells no, we need to do what Portland did and cut bait with ALL of the losers. Blowtorch everyone and start over. I really have no desire to see Derrick Rose pass the ball to Eddy Curry or Beasley receiving a pass from Marbury. Ugh.

Don't worry man.
Isiah will trade the pick for Artest or JAX and everything will be OK.
No need to make up this drama.

It's not who we want, it's WHO we FIRST have to get rid of. Adding a shiny new coat of paint onto the outside of a crumbling house is not a recipe for success.

I find it very strange that with 35 wins projected, we are still the worst?!!! I'd be happy with 35 at this point.
I'll never trust this' team again.

You'd be happy with 35 wins?!?!?! Thats like mediocrity hell right there, which, according to Dolan logic, Isiah would most likely live to see another day. And we'd also have like 10th pick in the draft. No thanks.

What the hell? Happy with 35 wins and like the 10th pick? That's retarded. If we're going to lose(which we are anyway), lose bad to get the top pick.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

But at what cost's? To set a modern day record? I'm not that' damn desperate! I think you guys are getting too much into this Hollinger report. It's one extreme to another in they're predictions. Almost to the point of 'rediculousness'!
I'll never trust this' team again.

I say the things I say and they always come true. I said' isiah isn't going anywhere! That has been made painfully clear to us! Have you missed it? Do you really trust Isiah to make a great pick in the draft, even if we did somehow end up with the #1 pick? Based on his picks and trades, I think it's a scary proposition. I'd love a #1 draft pick, but somehow I dont see it happening anyway. Notice that non of us EVER' get what we wish for? Maybe we should stop wishing so hard. We might get what we didn't wish for, something that everyone else would want.
I'll never trust this' team again.

this team is going to get one of the top 3 picks, I just look at the players available and they all look like JR Smith. Not going to turn us around.

I was just' gonna say!!! You beat me to it!!! And it would be exactly what our luck is, right?! It just couldn't be any perfect. This franchise is very, very good at missing everything. They couldn't hit the side of the Empire State buildling, even if you used a cannon, with a target glass on it and a 100% guarantee that it's a no miss.
I'll never trust this' team again.

This is more interesting than his expected win total thing- it's interesting that we have the potential to have the worst record in the league.

This site is interesting cause it takes every one else's records and applies the probabilities to each team's chance of making the playoffs:

http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NBA/Eastern/Atlantic/Knicks.html

If we can finish 38-24 we have a 100% chance of making it in. To have better than 0 percent chance of making it in, we have to go at least 31-31. 34-28 gives us a roughly 50-50 shot.

whoa, we have to go .500 the rest of the way for anything better than 0% chance at the playoffs? Is that absolute, or changing daily relative to everyone else's record? IOW, will the percentage lower if other Eastern Conference teams continue to struggle too?

Did you catch the fact Hollinger has us finishing in LB like fashion with a 23-59 record and with the worst record in all of basketball?

Right. Now .500 the rest of the way makes us 37-45, which was good enough for the playoffs a few years ago, but really isn't a record that should be sniffing posteason.

I believe it does change relative to other teams. If we start playing great and the other teams play poorly, the odds will change. Because each game takes away one from the possibilities the odds have to change everyday.
