Most likely will center around the Anucha settlement. No word what it will be about - if he will just admonish them, will he just say it's settled, will he FINE them. It's UNKNOWN!

-just reported on InsideTheLines... OutsideTheLines? Whatever. I'm just cherry picking all of ESPN's bashing of the Knicks today. Will offer the videos later once I get Jim Rome, ATH, PTI (im sure they'll all be talking about us)

If I can find and catch a "live" David Stern conference I will.

Why would he need a press conference about the settlement. This is gonna be interesting.

Yeah, that had me confused as well.

I'm wondering if it's going to be a brief STATEMENT without questioning being allowed? I don't know. ESPN didn't seem to know they just briefly mentioned it. I guess we'll find out later today. *confused*

Why would Stern need to release a statement about the trial anyway? I thought it was Knicks business and he wasn't getting involved because it was a civil case not a criminal case (his words, not mine).

I guess he has to because of the Knick statement yesterday that Stern urged the Knicks to settle???

*more confused*

He could be announcing a new precedent for dishing out punishment concerning such matters. I think it will be a "Put On Notice" to the whole league things like this will not be tolerated.

Crawford: "We need to just learn to play more consistently and stay together as a team"

There, now you don't have to listen to the interview
I just hope that people will like me

I don't even know why Queenie chose to post that crap Heads Up Crawford interview here. We're only interested in one thing right now and that's when I SAY UGH will be holding up a "Why Lie I Need A Beer" sign in his PC firing.

Trueblue, if he's fired in the press conference, I'm buying everyone courtside seats.

no press conference, just a statement.
NBA commissioner David Stern today released the following statement in connection with the MSG-Anucha Browne Sanders settlement:
“The NBA is pleased that the parties have agreed to a settlement that dismisses the litigation. I had previously determined not to consider any action against the Knicks while the litigation was still pending, which, with appeals, could have been several years. In light of the settlement, which I strongly supported, I have decided to take no further action.
Instead, we are going to continue to focus our attention on a league-wide program ensuring that all teams have appropriate policies, clearly communicated to their employees, focusing on respect in the workplace including the prohibition of sexual harassment.”

Well, hated to get everyone's hopes up with the courtside seats.

It would've been better if he said "....In light of the settlement, which I strongly supported, I will fine the Knicks $11.6 million. That punishment should please all parties involved."

Stern is completely useless. Worst commissioner in sports.

If I was a player, I'd be really pissed. He fines players for everything, including not wearing the right clothes, but management and owners can be found liable for sexual harassment and wrongful termination and Stern will do nothing.

Stern is nothing but a puppet for a crooked league.

Or maybe he made a deal with the team: They settle and he doesn't pursue any action against the Knicks.

He did say 'It demonstrates that they're not a model of intellgent management'.

Now that' says a lot' to me.
I'll never trust this' team again.
