contrary to the situation he came into w/the Knicks where the overall quality of the team changed very little after he was added, the Lakers actually have players that complement Zach Randolph's game nicely, & i think he could really help them improve this year... they have a defensive shotblocking C patrolling the lane, they have a franchise superstar SG who can draw double teams, drive to the hole & dish or work the pick & roll, they have a guy like Odom who can pass out of the high post create mismatches at the SF position, & they have some nice role players like Vujacic, Walton, Farmar & Fisher who provide a nice spark for them to round out the roster... the only thing they need is a PF w/an offensive post game.

how about Zach & Nate for Kwame's expiring, Radmanovich, Crittendon & a future protected 1st rounder?

this gets us cap relief, a perimeter shooter to help spread the floor for Curry down low, & a nice young player w/upside that can be groomed to take over for Marbs when he's gone after next season... & an additional pick will offset the future pick we still owe Phoenix from the Marbury trade... i really like that kid Crittendon... after watching a lot of the Lakers games out here this season he looks like he's got some nice potential to be a very good PG down the road... he hasn't gotten a lot of burn, but i can already tell he's got some nice ballhandling skills & pretty good court vision for a kid his age... looks like he's got pretty nice form on his jumpshot & physically he's got nice size for a PG... he doesn't look outmatched physically when he's on the floor w/older guys.

of course that would mean we'd have to buy out someone to make room on the roster for the extra player... Turd isn't playing anyway, so no loss there... at least Kwame's a little less pathetic

C - Curry / Kwame / Morris
PF - D Lee / Radmanovich / Malik
SF - Q Rich / Balkman / Chandler
SG - Jamal / Jones / Jefferies
PG - Marbury / Mardy / Crittendon

My goodness, we lost to sixers AGAIN?! This Knicks team is so incredibly up and down. Now little bitty nate is top scorer with 25? And Zach wasn't? How bout this one. Crawford scored 6 points in 38 minutes? What was the excuse this time? This lousy low life sixers team just about DOUBLED' the rebounds on us. With this knicks team, you just never know what your gonna get. Unbelievable!!! Not to mention we lost by '28'? Philly's supposed to be a real bad team, but what does that make us?

Na, it relates to two names (nate - zach), which constitutes relevance.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Isiah's not gonna cut Turd... how bout we throw in Morris and take Walton instead of Rad-man and the pick... think they would do that?

Zach/Nate/Morris for Kwame/Walton/Crittenton

Curry/Kwame/Turd
Lee/Malik
Q/Walton/Balkman/Chandler
Craw/Jones/Jeffries
Marbury/Mardy/Crittendon

Bynum/Mihm/Morris
Zach/Turiaf
Odom/Rad-man/Ariza
Kobe/Vujacic/Karl
Fisher/Nate/Farmar

nah, i don't think Isiah's gonna do anything... this is just for fun... just trying to figure out what possible teams would or could use Zach & what y'all think we could reasonably get for him.

just killing some time playing fantasy GM cuz there ain't nothing else to talk about these days but the depressing losses every other night.

No one wants Zach or his contract. There is a reason we got him for Frye and Francis. We picked up a contract 2 years longer and a player that has shown doesnt make the team any better

Exactly. Zach is a black hole on offense. He won't help ANY team. The only thing he does well is rebound and his flaws outweigh his good rebounding. LA would have beaten our very low offer if they thought there was any chance he'd help their team.

I don't think this deal is that bad from the lakers standpoint - I'm not sure what their cap number looks like on the tail end of zach's contract- at some point, they will need to pay up for bynum.

the idea of getting a first rounder- we've got to start accumulating draft picks.

And we need new management in here that starts thinking about how deals can make other teams better without ruining ours, and getting back cap relief, youth and picks.

Contrary to popular belief, some of the Knicks pieces like Curry, Randolph and even Crawford have value in other the places.

However, the key before doing anything is getting rid of the current GM and bringing in a GM who has a clear plan in place.

Isiah made this bed so he should lie in it- not try to solve his problems by sending us further into oblivion. He's not a position to do that anymore.

Before we know what we're doing (I.e. are we getting picks? Are we shedding contracts? Are we letting our current guys expire? All of the above? Can we do all of them?) its hard to figure what we should do.

Randolph, like every other Isiah franchise player, is garbage in his own special way. Now this sack of crap is whining about playing time.

I'm already completely sick of him.

To boot he's helped turn Curry into an entirely useless player this season instead of the mostly useless player he was last season.

Isiah's done a good job constantly adding a new player each year that DESTROYS the team not help it. Each new acquisition wrecks the previous acquisition's game and place on the team. Zach's also helped turn Lee into a useless hack for most of the year.

Just plain eliminating Zach would turn things around some. Lee would return to form. We could go back to force feeding fatass I mean McCurry.

Amazing how bad this team is where you can say "addition by subtraction" for every single freakin starter!

I don't think Randolph was complaining about playing time in a bad way.

... and for all of those ways Randolph has impacted Curry, if Curry was added to the team with an existing Zbo, we could say the same. Those 2 guys just don't fit.

True you could say it from either side but it's also impacted Lee too. It was a horrible trade.

As to his complaining I don't know...if you're playing like crap you deserve to be benched. What was Zach going to do? Fire up another 9 shots hitting 2? Complain to the refs a few more times while his man was dunking on the other end? Why would he even want to be out there if he's having a bad night and we're getting embarrassed by a bottom feeding team.
