ESPN -
Despite back-to-back losses against the woeful Sixers, New York Knicks head coach Isiah Thomas was reportedly told by owner James Dolan that his job is not in jeopardy.

After Saturday night's 105-77 loss at Madison Square Garden where fans were chanting "Fire Isiah", Dolan continued to support his embattled coach, a high-ranking team official told The New York Post.

Dolan had not been seen in his courtside seats the past three games but he was in attendance Saturday night and spoke to Thomas after the game, according to the paper. Madison Square Garden president Steve Mills also attended the meeting with Thomas.

Before the consecutive losses to the Sixers, the Knicks had won four of their last six games. One of the two defeats during that stretch included a 45-point thrashing from the now 17-2 Boston Celtics .

Through Saturday, the Knicks are 6-13 and languishing in last place in the Atlantic Division. Only the 4-15 Miami Heat have a lower winning percentage (.211) than New York (.316) in the Eastern Conference.Depressing

Its like helplessly wathcing a loved-one abuse and batter themselves and there isn't anything you can do. You try your best to help, but the loved one doesn't feel they need any help.

As a knick fan, I feel very helpless and extremely frustrated right now and can't understand why my loved-one can't see what I see. Can't see that they are killing themselves. As much as I would like to tear myself away from this mess and let them pretty much commit suicide, I just cant right now. I invested over 20 yrs to this team. Hopefully, someone with more influence than I, can intervene. Or I hate to say it, almost hope (root) they damn near bottom-out (if its possible to get any worse) and hope the shock of the near death experience forces someone to make a change.

It's more like watching some conman rip off and abuse your loved one.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I don't know if I'd say I'm done, but I'm thinking of taking a long break from watching Knick games. They just aren't entertaining anymore.

I don't have league pass, but I can catch a few NBA games on TNT and ESPN. Maybe watch some college games.

I am only rooting for lee, balkman, chandler and morris and maybe crawford.. other than that, I will boo this team.. zach, curry, marbury, I just hate this team as constructed and the one who put it all together...

This is a helpless and hopeless feeling...

I invested 25 years in this team, and never have I been so down on them as I am today..

Dolan gives this jackass a vote of confidence? got damn... I quit

I'd stop watching the Knicks, but then I'd have nothing to talk about when I came here.

It really is getting to that ugly point. The Knicks just aren't worth the headache right now. If they don't care for themselves, why should anyone care for them?

Sucks you can't switch teams.

I'm done. It's ****ing hopeless. There is no longer a light at the end of the tunnel. Dolan is completely clueless. I heard he brought up Glen Fucking Sather during his meeting with Isiah after the game. Are you ****ing kidding me?!? Is the NBA going to be locking out their players and implementing a new CBA to save the Knicks from themselves? It's unbelievable.

Islesfan it seem we all are in a funk now!!! I have not been posting regular but it seems that everyone of us is running out of gas and we all are tired. We are Beat. When the Knicks loose we all get beat down. I know that there are some who say they are happy when we loose but youre not. Dolan gave Zeke the vote of confidance. Dolan is pissed off and he refuse to have Marbs chase another coach out of town. Marbs will be moved first. Larry Brown had the idea but he went at it the wrong way. We need a franchise player from the draft. Not a almost but at true franchise player and lets keep David Lee and take a look at the rest. This season is lost. Zach is a me first player. We need to move Zach, Curry , and Marbs and Q, and JJefferys. Probably no one wants them.

Your not wrong in saying thes players need to be moved, but the problem is that Isiah is the one who brought these players her to begin with. First it was Marbury who was going to be the player we build around. Then it was Frye when he got off to a hot start. Then it was Curry after the numbers he put up last yr. Then it was Zach. Now its obvious, all of these players need to be moved. How many chances does Isiah get? How mcuh more money does he have to burn befor Dolan stops chuckling? How many more players does he have to move around before he blindly stumbles across a piece of the puzzle that may actually fit?

Its time to end this and get someone in here that knows what they are doing. And this is coming from a somone who idolized Isiah as a player.

i thought you wanted to hold onto Marbs cuz he was a positive black role model? so what did he do this year that he hasn't done in all the years he's been here that made you change your mind?
