I think Monday December 10th is the hearing for the Anucha 10M compensatory damages award. I am hoping the appeal of the 11.6M civil award takes place the same day.

If it does would it not seem reasonable that a loss at home to Philly tonight coupled with a blowout loss to Dallas on Monday following losses in court on Monday would give Dolan his needed reasoning to terminate Isiah's contract forcing arbitration thus forgoing having to pay the full 24M extension?

Could Tuesday be the happiest day since the afternoon you heard on the radio Scott Layden had been fired?

Could it? Or do I have the date wrong and am I wrongfully accusing Dolan of having a logical mind?

cosmic, hoping for the knicks to lose so Isiah can get fired is wishful thinking, because if he wasn't fired after the West coast trip, he will never get fired. never!

And guess what, we will win tonight, win vs the sonics and the feeling will be good at msg, then we will get our asses blasted by dallas, and the excuses of how good dallas is will come flowing.... I hate this got damn franchise, I swear , I never wished harm to anyone, but I am getting close with the dolan family!

I think it is close at this point.

We now have the whole marbury situation working in our favor. Likely, Dolan has had enough of Marbury and his stupid comments(for good reason.) So the fact that marbury has dirt on Isiah is actually working in favor of Isiah getting fired.

I think the West Coast trip was a little premature for Dolan. After we play Dallas, we will have played 25% of our season. Dolan chose Isiah over Larry, and so he is going to need a lot of justification for firing Isiah. I think the trial, the marbury situation, and this horribly assembled team is finally going to be enough.

We just need to get beaten today, and then get blown out by the mavs monday. I would predict he gets fired on tuesday. At that point we will be 6-14.

the problem is, that the knicks will win, and probably win big, then the Isiah gets another reprieve.... it is an endless line of BS around here...

That's been a problem. Every time the knockout blow is coming, he dodges it. Whe he seems ready to jab back, he gets hit with a counter blow. The hope is that the TKO will just stop it so we can move on.

Alright! The first shoe has apparently dropped with settling with Anucha today! (I HOPE it's settling both parts of the trial, the 11.6M jury award, and the 10.0 compensation award she was seeking!)

Now, all that's left....is for Dolan to find a way to terminate Isiah, cite breach of contract, and force arbitration.

Lets go!!!!!!!!!!

He just told Isiah his job is safe for the year.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

jeez...this is a tough one to figure out.

how much of a factor was this appeal to isiah's job security?

will this expedite isiah's departure? or will this just give isiah more job security?

i really don't know how to read this. but i guess we'll find out soon enough.

Empty words. Dolan is a reactionary individual. In that his mood can shift 180 in a heartbeat.

He's just figuring out HOW to terminate him WITHOUT having to pay the 24M extension that kicks in starting December 21st (number of years unknown? I've heard from 2 to 4!).

I think Dolan wants Isiah to quit. That way he wouldn't have to pay him.

As a fan, I wouldn't mind Isiah sticking around for awhile, AS LONG AS it was guaranteed he was fired at the end of the season. A new coach and gm, might make a trade or two to motivate this team. We really need the best pick possible in the draft.

Also, I think it is only fair that Isiah coach this team for the rest of the year. It is alot like putting the starters back in at the end of the game during a 25 point blowup. Isiah created this mess, and he should get booed, heckled, and preferably beer spilled on him for the rest of the season.

DJ, my personal opinion is the Appeal played a part. A fired Isiah wouldn't necessarily purger himself - BUT - he'd have no incentive to go to bat for MSG in the appeals.

Secondary to me is the contract extension, 24M, anywhere from 2 to 4 years.... and Dolan is trying to figure out how to terminate him based on breach of contract (might just use the anucha case as that breach).

There's no other reason. If Isiah had no extension and was days away from being let go or extended I guarantee he'd be out the door RIGHT NOW, ala Chaney, escorted to the street by MSG security.

Now we're down to one: The 24M extension. Once Dolan finds a way to make a case to have to arbitrate? Isiah is gone.

With Stern's hand in the Knicks at the moment who is to say Stern and Dolan don't meet, agree with the Anucha case out of the way it's time to move on Isiah, and agree to arbitrate? Maybe pay Isiah 15M to go away?

You never know....

All we know is Anucha is done, the damage is swept under the rug as a result, Stern wants Isiah gone, Dolan CANT POSSIBLY want Isiah to stay - and - you might just witness the result of a behind the scenes "coup" of Isiah in the near future.

I can only pray until it comes true. I will say this much: No way Isiah and Marbury last beyond THIS season. NO WAY! That's good news.
