With the last bit of optimism I can muster......

Can you say 4-1?

That would mean 8-3 over the last 11, making the Knicks one of the hotter teams over that span......10-12 overall?

Maybe the spirit of "Mr. Don" will watch over these Knicks.....and help break up the dark cloud surrounding the team.

It's possible. But Dallas is better than us and Chicago is pulling out of it's slump. I'd say 3-2 is more likely.

Eh, why not? We won 8 of 12 after the Denver brawl last year, right?

Am I off-base for being the most concerned about the Seattle game?

*unbites tongue*

I think I said this somewhere on here yesterday. These are opportunistic games. You have to win them and we've been doing so - beating floundering opponents at home and beating teams coming off of their back to backs. That being said they are not a true representation of the team as a whole and I refuse to get sucked into the false promise over a small portion of a season - if by the end of January we're over .500 and playing well? That's when I'll start to believe. Until then if you beat up on scrubs for a week are you a powerhouse in the making? No.

Therefore, yes, we must clean up on these opportunities because January is a much tougher month that is certain to cancel out any good we've done here in December.

Now, last December provided the same opportunity as this has and last December they fell flat on their face. So I guess you can say that's some form of improvement.

There, I was optimistic there for a second, now I'm kinda dizzy. Yet it will be completely meaningless if they fold in the face of a tough schedule.

THe problem this team has is that all of these teams actually play hard. There are no gimme games. Despite the records of the Sixers, Sonics and Bulls, they will be tough games. We should be able to win these games, but since this team is still trying to find itself the chances aren't as high as they should be. Only Dallas has a better roster than the Knicks of these teams, but will the Knicks play the way they need to in order to be successful?

Will Jamal be aggressive for the remainder of the season? Will we be able to get more good play from Q and Jones? What happens when Steph and Curry get back? It's still up in the air with this team and so it's hard to really predict anything right now.

Didn't we allow Philly to beat us 3 out of 4 last yr?

Best Case for this team 2-3 no doubt about it.

We've lost 4 of the last 5 regular season games against them I believe.

3-2 is very possible and would be good end to the year.

I think 3-2 or 2-3. With the state of our team, aside from the Nets with Jason Kidd, I don't see many gimmes on the schedule, but I agree that there are many winnable games coming up.

Guess not.

I gave a best case scenario which had us winning 2 of the 5 but implies I felt they would do worse than that. And sure enough they prove me right.

Could this be rock bottom? Or does it get even worse?

Man, losing to Philly twice, Mavs, Seattle, and now the Bulls. The sad part is that aside from the Mavs, that's not even a difficult stretch. We lost to some terrible teams.
