He is becoming my least favorite player giving Mebury a run for the money. He should shut his pie hole until he can consistently hit a damn shot.

Despite blowout, Quentin Richardson still not impressed by Celtics

Quentin Richardson was not backing down from his remarks that he was not in "awe" of the Celtics' Big Three, one day after Boston beat the Knicks by 45 points.

"I don't really care if a big deal was made," Richardson said Friday. "I still believe the same thing that I believed before the game."

Kevin Garnett revealed after Thursday's game that Celtics coach Doc Rivers posted Richardson's comments in the team's locker room. Garnett said he and his teammates were motivated by Richardson's quotes.

"I'm a competitive athlete," Richardson added. "I'm not about to be afraid of anyone because they have three great players. Because they have Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce, are we supposed to crawl into a corner and say we're afraid to play them? Go ask the other 29 teams and you show me a player that says he's afraid to go play them. I've never heard of that."

YOU COULD SAY THAT: Isiah Thomas gave a non-answer when asked about Garnett's comments that Stephon Marbury had quit during Thursday's loss. After the game, Garnett told TNT, "Steph's different from how he was in Minnesota. You just don't come out and quit. You got to have a reason or someone has to make you quit."

Asked about Garnett's quotes, Thomas told reporters: "I think what happened to us (Thursday) night, it's safe to say that you could say a lot of things. And that's where we were (Thursday) night. But I'm hoping that won't be the case (last night)."

STUNNER: Thomas continued to say he was "shocked" by his club's performance in Boston, especially after it had played so well in beating Utah on Monday.

"I sat watching my team, and everything that we talk about strategically we didn't execute," he said. "The players that normally make shots or do things, I was totally shocked and I think our players are shocked and I think people that have watched us play over the last couple of games were shocked. If (Utah coach) Jerry Sloan watched that game, I'm sure he was shocked. But it happens, and unfortunately it happened to us."

I wish Q would shut up too. He's been terrible all year. Knicks need his offense to space things out and he's only been offensive. What did Brandy do to this guy?

He's a Leader. A 8 point, 7 rebound, give up an average of 25plus points per game from the opposing small forward..........kind of leader.

I have no problem qith Q. He can stink up the stats sheets all year as far as I'm concerned. If the entire roster gave the same kind of effort as Q every night, we'd be in good shape.

And as far as his stats, I think he still needs time to come back from his various injuries and surgery. I have more faith that he'll improve this year over most of our other players.

My fault, it's 6 points and 6 rebounds, give up 25 points per game.........leader. LOL

Don't forget he worked harder than anyone to get those stats. What a guy!

I like the idea that Q thinks he and his team are just as good. It shows competitive spirit. Something many on the team lack. Q plays hard and he does the little things right. He plays D and he rebounds, those come from one thing, working hard.

He should say it. The problem is the rest of the team doesn't back him.

Just like he talks and shows nothing to back his own words.

Nobody on the Knicks team should be talking... at all. What he says was dumb and pointless.

That being said, I still like him more than a lot of the rest of the team, although that isn't saying much anymore.

why should Q shut up? This guy started for a suns team that was better than any team, Garnett, Ray or piercer ever lead or been on. He is a competitor, I like that.... You guys that tell him to shut up are funny? you want guys who have guts and compete, Q does that, he plays hard, the results may not be great, but he gives it all. Ewing came out every year and guaranteed a knicks championship.. I am still waiting, yet I bet most of you guys were all over ewing Jock when he made those statements.. and Don't tell me "well, Ewing is great and Q isn't" that is not the point.. and you know it...

TKF, you don't have a problem with him talking trash to a team before and after a near historical blowout? This guy doesn't have his head screwed on anymore. He needs to quit yapping and focus on getting himself back into shape. Leave the trash talking to winning teams.

he was asked a question. He never said they stunk, never talked directly to them, he said, he just doesn't fear them, which he shouldn't and he said, they haven't won a thing yet.. which is 100% correct..

So yea, I have no problem with a guy who goes out 100% every night saying what he said..

Mike Breen tonight during the telecast along with Clyde or Majerle said Q should should SHUT THE F UP.
