taht is the burning question. why do we love this team so? they don't care obviously with their in fighting and disregard of the fanbase by saying we don't know what we are booing about. management giving lip service and players talking mucho and not giving us much. for four years i have been part of this forum talking about the knicks and some hope that we will get better. i blasted layzie ( layden) who made awful trades for older players. but you know what? they never got beat like this. the team didn't have the talent but they tried to play hard every night. this year we play hard when it is easy and when a team makes it a little hard, we just give up. marbury said he was embarassed but he had a grin while saying it. obviuosly he doesn't want to play with the knicks anymore. q rich talking junk on the boston squad saying after the big three there was a significant drop off. i guess he forgot our record against boston last year and that rondo owned us as well as he did last night. i like how we overrate lee thinking he is the best think since patrick ewing. well he looked like eddie lee wilkins last night. can't stand it. i hated boston since ml carr proclaimed when we were at our peak in the late 90's that boston will win a championship before the knicks. i thought was crazy but it sure put a jinx on our franchise and how boston looked last night, they will win a championship very soon while we will languish BELOW mediocrity. then like always we won't even lose right and get a number 8 pick in the draft or something. i thought the only saving grace is that the worse it gets, the closer that the management will get fired. however, with an owner that cares more about money and publicity, that is not going to happen. team is a joke and a laughingstock in which everyone really criticize greatly and they deserve it. people are mad at what barkley and miller had said but hey the knicks do not prove them wrong. they are underachievers in the worse way in a conference which, though improved, is still weak compared to 90's standard. but all in all, no matter what, i find myself reading the artiv and going on the message boards trying to find a glimmer of hope. i loved the knicks since the rick pitino days and the last 6 are definately the lean years. i tried to stay away from them but i can't because i do care for this team and the uniform. we are the most loyal fans out there and we have the top 5 fan base so damn it we deserve a championship team. however the players, coach and owners are happy with the state that they are in so this is what we get. and i got news, it is only going to get worse. however, i will stupidly stick by them through thick and thin because my "fanhood" is too big. we are all idiots.

I don't think it's fair no one answered you, so here goes. No, I don't think we are idiots. Like you said, it's about the uniform and when someone puts on the uniform, they are one of our own. Except, as you said, they don't act like our own and so people root for the uniform and most cannot face the difficulty of what we have right now. I've been one of the biggest critics, but even I can only take so much. These guys, including Isiah, can't last forever and so I will just wait for it to burn itself out and see if a new direction comes. It's all I can do. I like the Knicks. Always have. That's why I come here. Because it's a Knick board and we want to talk great things about the Knicks, but some of us have difficulty, the same way some of us have difficulty understanding how some 'love the Knicks'. Personally, I'm tired of bitching and complaining. Go Knicks.
