What you want to do--essentially have the whole team bought out--is not an option. I think it was dumb moving away from the HUGE amount of progress Curry made last year and they put to much emphasis on getting talent over chemistry. I'm noy saying Curry is the franchise player we need to build around --rather a 24 YO C who can give me 20-24 6-8 57-60% from the C position and that we need help everywhere else. Our chemistry is wrecked and we need Starbury and crawford to play well or we will lose--and that wont happen every night for sure.
Building around a Center who doesn't want to and will not play D is a recipe for disaster. I think EY might be able to fetch us a Top 10 pick possibly that should be explored first and foremost.
I'm going to tell you right now that 90%+ of top NBA guys would NOT trade Eddy Curry unless they were getting a package like a KG back. They arent going to do it for picks etc.. they would think--like I do--that the EASIER fix is to find better players and a new system around Curry --they need a star 2 or 3 type player and a consistent long-term PG. You are talking like this is fantasy basketball or another sport like baseball where player movement is easier. The Bulls would still have Curry if it wasnt for his heart. I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Let's say for instance the Knicks drafted Sean Williams to play 4 with Curry at 5--and emphasized on getting better and faster in the backcourt. There is NO plan--that is a HUGE problem. Eddy is the least of the problems here.
