Would you trade David Lee for Granger or Shawne Williams

Granger is averaging 18/6 with a block a game. Shawne Williams is forcing indiana to give him minutes....everytime he does it seems like he puts up better offensive numbers than Granger.

David Lee is a double double machine. No doubt he could start for Indiana next to Granger and get 10/10 at least.

I think indiana would do well with david, granger, jermaine, tinsley and dunlevy......it frees up minutes for daniels off the bench. They do have troy murphy and that other dude that's injured. Larry Bird would probably still jump at the chance to get Lee.

On the flipside.....anybody think Wilson Chandler or Balkman could be better or just as good as granger/ shawne williams?

Anyway, thoughts?

nah... if we're trading D Lee we need to get a low post defender/shotblocker or a defensive pass first PG.

we don't need to trade for another young SF that needs to develop... we already have 1 in Wilson who we haven't even given a chance to show what he can do.

No... because I'm hoping Lee and Balkman can prove to be the long term answer. Some like Randolf the Grey and some don't. I suppose I don't and can't stand his TOs, lack of hustle, etc. Although, I do like where your head is at on this one.

If the Knicks could get back Granger, however, I'd do that. Nate/Balkman + Lee for Granger?

If Granger can play the 2 guard then I am all for it. Our hole right now with this team is guard play.

I love Lee but would def. trade him for granger. We need a real small foward. Chandler maybe it but unless he plays who knows?

yes to both, we need a big who can score all over the court, not just garbage points

what he said. We'd have to do it. Lee isn't being maximized on this team, because of Zach who is the much better player. We need a real 3, because D. Lee at the 3 guarding on the perimeter is a disaster waiting to happen. I love him tho. I'd follow him on another team to watch his progress.

If the current state of the team will continue for another 3-4 years I am OK with trading Lee.
Less incentive to waste time on watching this thing.
He is also looking outside of the pack lately. Looks like MSG is getting to him and he will go to the dark side sooner or later.

I am tired of seeing the ball swing around with 2 knick players Lee and Balkman looking to pass as soon as the ball touches their hands.

To me that shows weakness on the offensive side of the game on the perimitter.

Teams have learned to give them room to shoot knowing all they have to do is jump the shooting lanes when they recieve the ball on the perimitter.

We need a sf who isn't afraid to shoot.

Zeke is afraid to play chandler who isn't afraid to shoot.

no way just williams, i think we need to trade lee to be honest i love the guy, but he isn't getting minutes is going to leave anyway.

why would you want to ride the bench with on a 3-9 team.....

Caledron was mentioned as a full midelevel canidate i would really look to get that guy asap he can really pass the ball

Eny some haven't even watched the kid play, they have no idea of the versitility he would bring to the knicks. David Lee is liked by many because he looks like them

Maybe because he acts like them, not looks like them.....

He is one of the few accessible knicks that actually cares and gets it. Jamal Crawford mia at the team thank you event two years straight. Always good to see someone actually use his abilities as well, something maybe three players on the team actually do

That Lee doesn't start for the Knicks is not an indictment of Lee, its an indictment of the Knicks.

Catch his highlights from the other day when he started on yahoo if they are still available......in that game the mighty Granger just had 9 pts......last night granger had the big game...but Shawne also didn't start......

Makes me think they are showcasing Shawne.

The knicks have Jared and Malik making mucho dinero....let them become Zachs caddy. David Lee is not helping the team behind Zach and Curry. Trading him for another piece that could be all-star calibur one day is ideal......

Again even if Wilson Chandler is the real deal....these guys are on rookie contracts.....guys can be moved still.
