No. Dalembert sucks and is just as inconsistent as Curry.

I agree. Dalembert has a rep for blocking shots and rebounding but when was the last time you heard of him making any impact?

I think the only way the Knicks trade curry for him is if someone else on philly was coming.....that's my vote.

To me both are overpaid centers, but for our team I think it is much useful and needed an inconsistent 8,5 rebounds and 2 blocks in 30 mins center rather than an inconsistent 19 points with "consistent" no defense in 36 center.
Apart from the trade itself, I think Lee would get more playing time and our team would be a beast on the boards.
I think the trade fills our needs.

for me it would have to be a part of a larger deal, maybe w/Dre Miller coming along in the deal w/Dalembert.

something like Jamal, Curry & Jefferies to PHI for Dre, Dalembert, Booth & a protected pick?

Are you serious? How many games a year does he play? Guy is another Camby injury wise, and does not have half his game.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

No. Why? It has nothing to do with Curry it has everything to do with what a STUPID player Sam Dalembert is. Philly fans nicknamed him Stupid Sam quite a while ago.

Curry however has to get his sloppy ass in shape or get shipped out for a complimentary player to Zach Randolph. This guy is so slow now it's pathetic and with the emergence of Zach he seems downright useless at times. It was pathetic to hear last night "And Eddy gets his second block of the season."

The season? Get the hell outta here. Also how many times do you hear "Curry gets his first rebound of the game" and you realize it's midway through the THIRD quarter!? Last night watching him brick layups was disgusting and it was because he is a lardass and could not even leave the ground. I swear he's gaining 3 pounds between every game now. He is huge and sloppy and slow.

I agree. I think if Curry lost 30 lbs, he could really dominate in this league. The guy has great agility for a center, but he is too heavy to really maximize his potential.

I bet many of the top 10 teams in the league would give up their first round pick for Curry. That's the avenue I'd pursue.

I bet none of those picks would be #2 picks in the draft.

Exactly. If he actually DID weight the 275-285 the Knicks and Curry tried to tells us he did at the start of this year he'd be an absolute monster. The guy MUST be around 315 though and that does not bode well as he's always gained weight as the seasons go forward.

It's inexcusable as a professional athlete. If he simply cannot keep the weight off then eventually he has to go because he will cost us important games by blowing layups, not pursuing loose balls, and getting torched on the defensive end: All because of a weight problem.

If he can't kick it, and he probably can't, then some day we gotta move on. Especially seeing how Zach is going to be the go-to guy from here on out.

Curry for Dalembert like I said some Knick fans have the tendency to over hype this guy. Other than his shot blocking he brings almost nothing to the table.

But like TMS said if Dre Miller was included it would sound infintely more like an attractive trade.

I don't even understand how its POSSIBLE that a professional basketball player can be overweight. How many calories must they burn every day?!

what your doing is trading LAZY for STUPID.

Tough one. Sam tries hard and plays hard. I think in the right system he could be the consistant defensive force that he has shown he can be for stretches. Neither are franchise guys for sure. I think Eddy might have more trade value, but Eddy is so worthless without that ball in his hands its a tough call.

I think you can yield more than Dalembert for the Curry.

Maybe you could do Curry and Rose for Dalembert and Korver. That'd give us some balance. We need an outside shooter like Korver to play with Zach.

I bet the team would finish with a better record at the end of the season if Dalembert was the starting center. The fact that we're even debating this tells you how bad giving up multiple lottery picks for Curry was.

I will give the sixers Jerome James for Dalembert. Dalembert is one of the weakest centers in the game. Some of you guys are so eagar to get rid of Curry that you forget teams actually have a game plan to contain Curry. If they didn't they wouldn't send a double team his way. With Dalembert they don't even bother to guard him offensively inept player. Stick with Curry he is far closer to greatness than Dalembert ever will be.

the same holds true for Zach... that doesn't mean you make the trade... Curry has more trade value than Dalembert whether you hate Curry or not.

I would. I'm no Dalembert fan, but I'd rather have a bum that plays defense as opposed to a bum that doesn't.

The same holds true for Zach...and I'd gladly trade Zach for Dalembert, but I doubt Philly would. There's no point from Philly's perspective in taking an extra $17 mil in salary for Zach when he has so many problems. MAYBE you could get more than Dalembert for Eddy. I'm not sure. You could probably get a draft pick around #20, although I'm not sure that's actually better than Dalembert. If we had a GM and owner who wanted to get under the cap or at least have players who weren't drastically overpaid, then I'd rather get an expiring contract for Eddy (and Zach and most of our vets) than get Dalembert and just start over. What kinds of trades did you have in mind?
