the numbers speak for themselves
i saw balkman take a shot from almost the three point line and thought to myself thats better than q shooting it
i saw zbo behind the line he passed it to qrich and thought to myself id rather zbo shoot a brick

the guy should not be suiting up
have some pride sit yourself
say you're hurt anything
this is beyond sad
chandler should start even if he's never played much
just throw him out to the lions
its can't be worse than qrich
thomas should just play himself

hell play me i can at least shoot 35%
not even good but better than qrich

I feel ya buddy, pause.

He was apart of a couple key plays last night. That steal he had that led to him passing to Marbs on the break was enormous. Still in the long run, this guy needs to go, but where? I think the knicks are pretty much stuck with him. Only why he goes is if the knicks tag david lee with him and take back a horrible contract......its tough man but not much we can do.

Q-Rich is playing defense and getting rebounds (although he did not get many last night). Plus, he is one of our smartest players. He does not turn the ball over alot and he is not afraid to get in someone's face. His shot has left him, but IT seems willing to give him a few games to try to get it back. IT also is playing Balkman and Jeffries more, which shows that he recognizes Q's problems. I agree that we should limit his minutes until he can start to consistently hit the 3 ball, but he still has a place on the team.

Additionally, I really wish he would lose about 20 pounds. I am not sure if he gained the weight because he is playing SF, but I think he would be more effective at 215 lbs than 235 lbs, or at least get to around 222 lbs.

Q-Rich is one of a few complete players on this team. All of you will only appreciate him when he is gone. Just like LJ in the later days of his career. Guys like Q-Rich are the glue that binds teams together. But hey, does not dunk on people or was not drafted by IT, so he must be useless.

Last night Q shot 43% overall and 50% from downtown. He had three steals and a block and some really key defensive plays (to go along with his normally strong defense). What's more is that he showed up to play and showed a lot of passion on the court. I'm used to these "Q is the worst ever, lets run him out of town" threads, but why after this past game?

We would miss him. He provides a big chunk of the little leadership this team has.

Given the surgery and off time I still say QRich gets more time before he is voted off the team. I'd give him until the new year to get some mobility and consistency back before I start trashing him.

Why not start with Malik Rose, Jerome James, and Jared Jeffries as the first guys you want off the team? Oh right LJ shouldnt start or even be on the team because we have Kurt Thomas who is younger, bigger, faster, and can average 15 and 12 for us! SOUND FAMILIAR?

Of all the players on this team that you can choose to get rid of, im still surprised as to why Eny wants Qrich gone. People need to realize Q-Rich was NEVER a GREAT shooter from the outside. In LA he was a post-up guard, he cant do that here more than once or twice a game due to eddy and zach. In Phoenix, he was shooting wide-open threes repeatedly due to some guy thats a two time mvp. Q does not get the same open shots here as he did in phoenix. Marbury can get him those shots when he feels like it but thats about it.

He's not a great shooter (unless he is absolutely wide open) to begin with, he has back problems, but the guy gives a FULL EFFORT and plays with heart. Hard to say that about most of the other players on this team.

I like Q. He busts his butt when his offense isn't going well. He is a great example for our young guys. We aren't winning titles with or without him right now so let's keep him in the line-up to provide some leadership

Q needs to go. The guy is dragging the team down most nights and the numbers do speak for themselves. I really don't understand the attachment knicks fans have to this guy??? Is it watching him on the bench while the knicks are trying to make a come back, making faces that makes him a leader???? Because that's where he usually is when we need to make a push. Or the way he says man in his interviews after games?? Because it's obviously has very little to do with his court performances since he does the least out of any starter game in and out.

What the hell? Did simrud just compare Q to LJ?

Q came up with some decent plays last night granted.....but when we startr comparing him to LJ, something is wrong.

Then again Q is more like LJ for the simple face he isn't even a 3 anymore.......a while back guys wanted him the be the starting 2!

What is all this masterbation for Q coming from? Cuz he kicked the table during a blowout during the larry brown season? He had a terrible game that night and this season he's been just as bad.

I personally like the guy, but come on man......he's not the glue of the team. He's gonna be a Knick for life though cuz he's 235lbs for no reason with major back problems.....im rooting for him to find his game but come on man.

The attachment to QRich is his leadership, his no nonsense no excuse attitude, his constant hustle and work ethic, his well rounded game.

Why do we not put him on the fire as we do others? For when he is healthy he plays VERY well and quite possibly is our best overall player when that's occurring.

The problem of course is he can't seem to stay healthy so even though I like him if he's not giving us consistent HEALTH of which would definitely lead to consistent PLAY then he has to go. Unfortunately there is no way we can trade him unless we take back a worse player so I don't even know what to say about any potential remedy.

Our SF is shooting horribly and not scoring. In the meantime he has given us:

15 rebounds
10 rebounds twice
9 rebounds
7 rebounds twice

Prior to last night he had averaged nearly 9 rebounds a game in his last 7.

In a team full of offense he is providing us rebounding and defense and leadership and old school hustle. Some fans will always see it. Other fans will never see it. Some people love offense

Yeah I like offense but Q isn't this defensive stopper. He got his hand on a couple key steals, and had an uncharecteristic block inside against Utah but.....what makes him annoying to me is gets beat by 3pt shooters and even though he defends the other teams best wing...he still gets destroyed regardless.

Hopefully he can continue to get better as the season goes along but banking on that with this team is supposed to be devil talk.

Q couldn't hold LJ's son's jock strap in his later days.

Lj had post moves 3 point shots and defense when his back was giving him issues.

I'D say the only thing they had in common was " BAD BACK ISSUES"

He is obviously not the player LJ was at any time in his career. But on this team he has the same role LJ had in his last couple of years. When he was already really hurt.

Does he do as good of a job? No, but the whole team is on a different level from back then, several levels below really.

If you are going to trade Q, then trade the rest of the vets and blow it up. Otherwise getting rid of him makes no sense.

I am a fan of Q and anyone that is not a fan of his, is a hater and needs to root for the Celtics or Raptors.

Q is shooting 31% fg 57% from the foul line and 23% from downtown. While averaging 6 points a game. This sounds like Jeffries numbers.
