"To win in New York is the most challenging thing that any athlete or coach ever faces," he said, "because it's so rarely done here."

Huh? Rarely done? Apparently Thomas has forgotten former Knicks coaches such as Pat Riley and Jeff Van Gundy, who made the NBA Finals in the 1990s, plus the four-time World Series champion Yankees under Joe Torre and the two-time Super Bowl champion Giants under Bill Parcells. And the 1994 Stanley Cup champion Rangers. And the 1986 Mets.

"There have been a lot of people who have failed here," he said. "I don't want to be on that list. My job is to make sure I get myself as far off that list as possible."

Don't forget Marbury saying, "I didn't take (the booing) personally. I understand its something (the fans) don't know about".

Man.......I wanna hear Marbs and Isiah say, "I plead the 5th!" for once in their lives.

Marbs says "no comment" and isiah likes to keep things "in house", yet the bastards always seem to get in that quote that just makes everything sound worse.

Reporter: so isiah do you think you will be fired?
Isiah: I plead the 5th.
R: your record is terrible do you think you are doin enough to win this year?
Isiah: 5th!!!
R: care to comment on your benching........
Isiah: 1, 2, 3, 4, FIIIIIFFFFF!

IT must be talking about himself in regards to never winning here. If he is hinting since we haven't won since '73 that he's off the hook for stinking it up over the past 4 seasons then he's really lost it. Marbury and Isiah have been flat out insulting us for years now. These two need to pack their bags. They put a disgusting product on the floor, they're like little girls fighting in the media, they're both caught up in some bad off the court situations, they readily insult the fans intelligence and pretend as if 2-9 does not matter because Layden's teams weren't any good. Well, those Layden teams would blow out Isiah's Knicks.

Tell me that doesn't make you queasy. Get these clowns out of here.

The team isn't that digusting the only thing about it that is disgusting is the tanden of Isiah and Marbury. There are peices that can be kept that will be good in the future but they will never be as good with Marbury and Isiah around.

While Isiah and Marbury are dragging the situation down much farther than it would ever go I have to say the team as a whole isn't very good with or without them. I see your point but I don't really see much on this team that's all that solid or at the very least consistent.

One thing at a time I suppose. Marbury will probably go first and then Isiah will follow (Although who knows with Dolan he could fire Isiah at half time today for all we know).

That's some Marbury logic right there.

We hoped that Marbury would get smarter by hanging out with Isiah, but the opposite has happened. Isiah has gotten dumber. Here's Marbury's take on winning and losing in the NBA:

"at the end of the day, if you don't win the championship, we all losers"

Winning rarely done here........

Knicks records.

LOL. Isiah probably should stick with the Pistons if he doesn't know the history of this franchise.

BS! If thats what he thinks why doesn't he just quits officially. He has already done that on the court as our coach.

Bah, to say that you rarely win in NY because its not often done is to try to make your sorry time in NY as bad as others, Isiah. Guess what, you will be remembered as one of the worst things that has happened in NY Sports history. And to avoid that you would have to go on an 80 game winning streak and since you can't even go on a one game winning streak these days and your days are numbered, you will have to hope another idiot like Dolan gives you another job in this league.

You suck, Mr. Thomas!

Comparing the Knicks to the Yankees isn't really fair you see because the Yankees are allowed to have a bigger payroll than any other team in baseball... oh wait...

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Isiah is on the books for the ages with the biggest failure in professional sports history on all the world!!!!!!!!

he can spin it any way he wants, but books will be written and ESPN will do a "bronx is burning" kind of movie.

Who plays Isiah? Dolan? Marbury? Larry Brown?
