Well said, in addition to San Antonio's "role players" completely outdueling Nets supporting cast. Williams, Rodney Rogers () and what was Lucious Harris doing handling the ball with 1:04 to go... and yet another Richard Jefferson disappearing act.... modern day version of Houdini.

Bottom line,,, Spurs shut down the Nets with a sparkling defensive effort in the second half. Jefferson was forcing horrible shots. Spurs didn't let them breathe.

He did... but mostly in the first half. WHen the Nets couldn't shake SPurs getting the better of it (in the first half) you knew they were in trouble... and when KMART got in foul trouble... they were cooked.

p.s. notice Playa is nowhere to be found... after Nets loss and VG choices... lol

bryon needs to have kittles guard parker for huge portions of the game, kidd is faster than parker and maybe kittles but he is bigger in weigt than both. these guy got more side to side quickness. kittes may match up better with parker. But even if he dont kidd is expending a lot of energy, he plays the whole game runs the team leading rebounder and he has to guard parker

i'm suprised the a four time defender of the year, Savior , man who will carry the nets to the Ring, mutumbo let a 6'5 power foward give him a Facial, and let a 6 foot guard get a offensive rebound and put back over him. i'm suprised he recorded 2 points no re's no no blocks no assist no FG's and did not lead NJ to a Win at home.

... all I know is giving Parker the wide open three is death... he's a money player... amazing when you consider how young he is... what poise for a 20 year old.

Kittles probably isn't quick enough but you're right, Kidd expends too much energy guarding the guy.

spurs could still use kidd via free agency, kidd is a team oriented guard, parker is more of a scorer, but he is still young, they should keep that money and go after some one that can bang and score. rose can only bang and he is short. go after elton brand or oneal. then the league will sheet in there pants.

nah, you got ginolbli, jackson and bowen, already. with claxton at backup point, it's not jordan tmac and magic but good enough to play with Tim. Willis is 40, Robinson is retiring and rose is a good bench player. they need a banger that can help keep the pressure off Tim. They have cap room so they can spend it on the best. Spurs get Elton or Jermaine and we may witness a dynasty.

Right on point. I've been saying that for awhile now. AT WORST, Parker is serviceable as the PG, and he's way more than serviceable. Let jkidd be the premier PG in the East (or the whole league for that matter); he's with NJ, it's not like he's hurting SA's chances at the Finals.

If I'm SA's GM, I'm making a run at O'Neal. Indiana is made with smoke and mirrors, anyway. You offer O'Neal a chance to play with the big boys he may just jump at it. Brand would be a great 'consolation' prize, but O'neal is where it's at. That 3-some of Parker, Duncan and Jermaine would be killer, considering your 'role players' are Rose and Ginobli; in NY they'd probably be the team's 'STARS'.

SA is the Anti-KNICKS. They have been a viable championship contender for the last few years and will continue to be one for the next few years, have money under the cap to make a run at good-to-great Free Agent, have a nice mix of youth and veterans....

How's about a trade of their management for ours, and we throw in our pick? Worth considering when you KNOW LayDUMB is gonna trade it away anyway...

If any team get the #1 pick overall(DUNCAN) and he is a great fundemantal dominant player, you could be winnie the pooh and still build around him=no brainer. Add a 7FT vet like Robinson you can put role guys around them and win like the Fakers did.WHIP DE DOO. WE HAVEN'T GOT A #1 OVERALL SINCE 1985.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Vescey talked to Duncan and Tim is on the same page. Says he wants a big man and Jermaine is his man... look for him to sign with the Spurs next year and as you say... watch out... that team will be very tough to beat. Forget about Kidd, San Antonio should listen to Duncan and get Jermaine O'Neal.

You believe that, Prod? C'mon... Jermaine and Tim are tight... you think he's stupid enough not to take MAX contract to play with the Spurs and add numerous rings to his fingers? We'll see... this loyalty stuff doesn't work all that well in the NBA.... once the money is there... it's all about the RINGS!!

i was thinking that the minute the offer is made that he would be on the next thing moving headed to san antonio texas...

...but then again those are some strong words. apparantly he was trying to save what he felt was isiah thomas job in jeopardy...

it would be somewhat hypocritical to leave after supposedly saving your coach's job but...as we both feel...that almighty dollar talks
