The post

"[Chauncey] did whatever they needed tonight," said Thomas, who nearly had his Pistons record of 11 assists in a quarter matched by Billups (10). "He was great - points, assists, whatever they needed."

Said Marbury, "Those guys are playing in a very good system, know where to go at all times, have counters to do everything that you do defensively. They go to their third and fourth options. Playing for Flip, you can see the execution."

Dont look like there will be any kissing and making up anytime soon. Actually they are both right. How bout we call it even and they both their bags asap

they are both right.

when Flip got fired Steph pined for his hire in the papers but coincidentally all the rumors about Brown getting fired from Detroit and Flip being the lead candidate for that job took the headlines.

Steph did it too himself. He had an offense geared strictly to his strengths when he first got here but refused to grow in it or play on the other side of the ball. after Brown and now the Quick, I bet Marbury wishes he'd have listened to Lenny Wilkens now...

Remember when larry dumbed down the defense for "some" players?

"Starbury" don't execute what he coaches ask of him.

Knicks don't play team ball, its one on one talent.

Last nite In the 4th the team was making an interesting run and ZDumb stole the ball and just dibbled down, then baked into the post, got triple teamed and lost the ball while his teamat.....er, I mean the other 4 guys with knick jersey's just stood in disbelief.

At this point there are no answers to this knick puzzle. Isiah is trying to get canned and I think it has to do with the appeal process. Isiah should have a clause in his contract to help him but if your MSG and give Isiah an extension would you not have a cause that speaks to the Anucha trail and if Isiah was guilty of sexual harrassment it would enable a firing with cause?

i love it... Marbury uses a head coach's system as an example that he himself asked out of when he was playing for him in MIN... so now it's the old "system" excuse once again... i thought Marbury said at the beginning of the season that he was gonna be a lot more aggressive looking for his shot & average 14 dimes this year? i guess we can blame the system for him not achieving those goals so far this season.

I've been saying what Marbs said for years, Knicks offense is too simplistic, no ball movement, no 2nd, 3rd, or 4th options. Not excusing Marbs but he spoke the truth, assists come from good ball movement with multiple options.

i don't disagree w/u on the fact that this offense is so predictable, but that's been the case for years, not just under Isiah... maybe the problem is we don't have a PG who knows how to run one & not the coach's system to begin with? there's a thought.

the Quick was concepted by the same man who built this team...

Isiah once defined it as some Bobby Knight + some Chuck Daly but mostly a sand patch, a stick, and some squiggly lines in the dirt

suckbury is much more destructive then people give him credit for. This guy has had more negative affect than anyone, including Isiah, on the floor and in some cases, off the floor. It's really hard to blame, because Isiah himself is the one who brought all of these people here to begin with. And they all had to deal with headcase on the floor. It's really a combination and one of the worst combinations of player-personel in the NBA. You have just' the right amount of coach-GM-player to create such an atmosphere. I really don't recall anything like this before with an NBA team. I'll say it again. When you look at it for what it really is, the Knicks don't lack in talent as much as they do in stability. One bad apple can have this kind of affect on the entire franchise. Look at the bulls recent woes, starting out with a bad record also. You know their much, much better then that. The Kobe distraction disrupted those guys on the floor. A basketball team is a fragile thing. I think our team is psychologically damaged. And on top of that' the pressures of the New York fan and media? Can you imagine trying to get through all of that and play a decent game of basketball?
I'll never trust this' team again.

He loss his players when he let steph play, he also loss them when he took steph out of the line up to play a guy who's 1/10th of the player steph is.
Ironically you keep hering these same players talk about how thankful they are for IT binging them here.
