They looked like they didn't want to compete," Detroit guard Flip Murray said. "They were just out there. All you had to do was look at their body language. I don't know what's going on over there, but they've got a lot of issues."

LB was fired when players did this
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Lets keep looking at the quotes:

"(Billups) said before the game that there were going to be a lot of open shots," McDyess said. "I think the team did a real good job moving the ball around."

"You can't play better than that," Billups said. "It was just one of those nights when everything was going good."

In other words: Everybody knows we are a terrible team that has also quitted. They just come in to get their points, practice a little and get an easy win.

Thats what we are these days: an easy win...

Another one:

After the game, former teammates Rick Mahorn and John Long tried to comfort the embattled coach.

"Everybody is throwing him under the bus right now and it's not right," Long said. "He has to be accountable for some things, but the bottom line is he can't make his players play with pride."

This is the problem of trading for the players we have traded. This is why rebuilding this mess has to be done. Obviously all the Isiah doings have also helped this, but it isn't like these players have no responsibility.

When analyzing a team we usually forget that it is their job. They should all be fired by now for such a pathetic performance.

You don't even have pride for yourself that makes you try hard? Please!

I'd rather have players with less talent and more pride...

Long has reiterated what Larry said about the collection constructed by Isiah, so while Isiah the coach cannot be held accountable for all things, he wears the dual roles.

He is president of basketball operations and the head coach.

Isiah is responsable for all things on the team right now.

I wish someone on the knicks would make statements like this after a losing streak.

The Nets got a much-needed win.

"How depressing was it around here?" Jefferson asked. "I love Portland and Seattle, they're beautiful places. But there's a reason why they have a high suicide rate. I didn't think our team would make it. Someone was going to go down in Seattle if we lost both these games. Somebody was going to go down. Someone would have gone to a bridge and not made the plane. It might have been me. Seriously. Someone was going to lose it."
