I think his point is that Nelson was fired with a record 9 games over .500 and Isiah is still around while he's been deplorable since he's been here.

That was pat ewing and Jeff vandummy's fault, old sad story that changed the direction of the knicks FOREVER
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I guarantee if you find some, you could find SOMEONE to throw it.

That team had championship aspirations, and Ewing wanted him fired after Mason was made center of the offense. Completely different situations. Does that mean Isiah should stay? No, but it's not a good comparison.

Nelson was an alcoholic at the time and would show up to games drunk...Players complained he ran no offensive plays...Let's see...a lineup of Ewing, Oaklley,Starks,Charles Smith,Derek Harper,Anthony Mason,Charlie Ward,Doug Christie(who got no burn, but thats another story in itself)Hubert Davis,Gary Grant....I see the parallel...

Holfresh what is the parallel

That is my point...there isn't any when comparing both teams win records and camparing who should be fired and who should have been kept...the '95 team was on a championship trajectory, this team trying to find out if it can play .500 ball....

Nellie was also begging management to trade Ewing at the time...

Dolan is waiting for Isiah to have that record so he can fire him. Makes you think about Thomas' job security

Nelson also coached like he just wanted to collect a paycheck. Started a feud with Ewing, embarassed Starks in the papers while calling Hubert Davis "the better player".
