with the knicks the most embarassing team in the league and all of my team getting embarassed year after year ( mets collapse, giants collapse 2006) it cause me to wonder if and when the city of new york will ever win a championship in ANY sports. as far as chances go, here are the rankings of what teams are actually closer in bringing home the gold:

1.) yankees
2.) mets
3.) rangers
4.) giants
5.) nets
6.) islanders
7.) devils
8.) jets
9.) knicks

however, i don't see any of them winning before this decade is over which is a waste.

Ever since 9/11 the knicks went south, blame rudy Guliani

Yanks and or Mets will probably win a title within the next 5 years. Maybe several.

Giants are in good shape cause they have a lot of great young players, but the NFL is so hard to judge. Except for this year and the next 2-3 years where barring injuries no team will be on the level of the Patriots.

I don't think you have any arguments on the Knicks being the farthest away.
